Hello Steemians,

I have completed my achievement 3 task which is basically on content etiquette.

• Content:On my opinion, this refers to any item been it a video, picture, or written, that is presented on steemit or outside by a user.

• Etiquette:This is a factor that ensures good behavior on every platform and on steemit as well. It encourages users to be polite and of good behavior in making their content. This discouraged users to avoid deviant behaviors such as plagiarism, the use of copyrighted images, and making of low quality content etc

Now let’s get to know what plagiarism is all about as it is the main issue of users in this platform

• Plagiarism: This is when a user takes another person’s content ( work, idea or even images) to be presented as his own. And this is one of the things that steemit is totally against, and could have your account muted or get banned by certain communities.

Plagiarism is of different types which are stated and explain as follows:

1. Complete plagiarism
2. Paraphrasing
3. Auto or self plagiarism

Now onto the explanations of this various types of plagiarism;

• Complete plagiarism: This is when a user steal or copy another user’s work entirely to be presented as their own.

• Paraphrasing Plagiarism:This is when a user edit another user content by using synonyms and changing of words to avoid being caught by the plagiarism tool.

• Auto/self-plagiarism: This type of plagiarism is when a user makes a post and post it more than once on steemit. User could post one same content in different communities. Most users don’t know this is another form of plagiarism as they think because it’s written by them.

When talking about plagiarism, many of us might think it’s basically on work but it also includes photos, videos or even music. All these items when copied with presenting the source could be caught as plagiarism because the user didn’t give permission of his work used. However, images and other items can only be used and cited if the original owner give permission to use his work.

Now, in order to keep staying and performing your activities here on steemit, one must avoid plagiarism. Some of the ways by which one can avoid plagiarism are as follows;

1. Users should do proper studies to have good understanding of topics put before them. Make sure you go through your work after you finish with it before you now post it.

2. Always make sure to properly cite your copyright free images you add into your post

3. Make sure to give credit to where you get an idea, a phrase or sentence from
