Hello steemit family 🤗🤗 it's @greyc and today I will be completing my Achievement 2.

Todays post will be on the "Basic Security on Steemit. This post is very important as each steemit account holds much value and as such should be well secured because, once your steemit account is lost you cannot retrieve it again thereby loosing all your hard work.

It is imperative that you save your password and keep it safe and be careful not to overwrite or misplace your original master password.

Once a Steemit account has been created keys are generated for each subscriber as each account is protected by keys. We have different keys that has been put in place to ensure smooth access on the Steemit blog. Below are some of those keys and their uses 👇👇

• Master keys

• Posting keys

• Active keys

• Owner keys

• Memo keys

Master keys:

The master password is used to derive all keys for your account including the owner keys.

Posting Keys

This key allows accounts to make a post, reply a post, comment on a post, edit a post, vote in a post, resteem and follow or mute other accounts.

Owner key

The owner key is only used when necessary. It is the most powerful key this is because, it can change any key of an account, including the owner key and as such should be stored safely.

Memo key

This key is used for encrypting and decrypting memos when transferring funds.

As required for the successful completion of Achievement 2, I will be answering some questions below and I will be uploading some images to show some processes involved.

How do you plan to keep your master password?

To keep my master password, I have stored it in a flash, I have also written It out in a journal.

Do you know how to transfer your steem token to another steem user account?

Yes I do and I will be showing the process with images.
Below is the process of transferring steem token to another account👇👇

First I will sign into my wallet then I will click on the steem

Next I will enter the steem user I want to transfer to and the amount

Next I will click on the OK to successfully transfer the steem token

Do you know how to power up your STEEM?

Yes I know how to power up steem
First I will sign into my wallet then click on steem and the enter power up

Next I will enter my steem balance and then add my username to power up steem

Lastly I will click on the OK icon to successfully power up steem
