The master password is as follows:
Since your master key is so important to you, it's best if you keep it somewhere else. To stop losing it, use Google Drive, iCloud, Gmail, and other similar services.
You can keep it in a safe place so you can easily access it when you need it.
You may also give it to someone you trust and ask them to save it for you.
You can update your STEEM password at anytime

Password is being posted
It is recommended that you use the posting key rather than the master key to sign into your STEEM account in order to gain access to anything you want because the master key restricts you from using certain functions.
The posting key gives you the ability to upvote, comment, resteem, and follow other steemian accounts.
In addition, it is accessible.

Key that is active
This key functions similarly to the posting key, except it allows you to perform specific tasks such as purchases, fund transfers, changing your avatar, and so on.
As a result, if you want to perform a task for a mentor, your steem account will prompt you for the active key or master key.
You can use the active key to do something about your STEEMIT account.

Owner key
The most strongest and powerful key is the owner key. In your STEEMIT account it has the ability to perform all the tasks including all what the active and posting key does. It also has the ability to change your owner key. It’s functionality is more or less like the mater password.
It is very important to always keep to our owner and master key saved.
Saved them places that you are sure of not loosing them.
Every key is important but the owner key most powerful. With your owner key second party can login into your STEEMIT account have access your information and change them.

Memo key
This is not yet applicable in the STEEMIT account but to learn about memo key is very necessary.
It creates or use as channel for communications between steemians like private messages and others.

About power up

1. Go to your wallet
   In the process of powering up, steem can be converted into steem power
   Log into your wallet with your active key and this will enable you to have access to your wallet.

2. Log into your wallet with active key

3. Click of the inverted arrow next to your STEEM balance

4. Select Powerup from the pop-up menu

5. Enter the amount of STEEM and press Ok to powerup

6. Enter your memo key as a form of confirmation to complete the process

Powering Down

1. Login to your Wallet with your active key
2. Click on the inverted arrow next to the Steem Power balance
3. You’ll see power down
4. Click on the power down
5. Enter the amount of steem power to power down
6. You’ll be asked to enter your memo key to confirm, after that it will take about 4weeks to reflect in your account

It is very necessary to learn about the key and when an d where to used them. You must keep them to yourself or give it to people you trust most in order to keep it safe to prevent you from loosing it or being back by someone.
