Security in a large sense can be said to be a way of keeping something so precious safe, and it can equally involves protecting anything value able from attack or dangerous situation that can damage it.

In this contest ,basic security on steemit can also be reffered to how i can protect my steem account so that it will be safe and difficult to hack, steal or attacked.

HOW TO RETRIEVE ALL MY KEYS ON STEEMIT.
I can say that this keys to me is equal to life . So to ensure that my steem account is safe and can be able to perform any action in my account,this keys is the only gate way to that,and without this key i can not do anything with my account.

HOW I GOT MY KEYS.
At my signing up ,immediately the master password ,which is the password to use in retrieving all the other keys like posting key, active key,owner key and memo key were giving to me. At retrieving all the keys ,the master password was then saved and kept at somewhere safe, while the other keys are used often.

So, i can rightly answer yes that i have retrieve all my keys on sreemit ,because when i signed up they were provided to me first the master password which i used to access my steem it .com wallet,then all others as well.

WHAT ARE THE FUNCTIONS OF THESE KEYS AND THEIR RESTRICTION?

Each of these keys can be used to perform various function.
For instance ,
(i) The master password: master pass word is the pass word that i got at my sign up,and is used to generate all other keys. After that ,it is then stored in a safe place and can only be used when you want to recover your account.

(i) Posting key - posting key is used to publish a post or comment, edit a post or comment,up vote or down vote,reafirm content, also follow people,mute accounts. It is also used to login into your steem account often.

(iii) Active key - This key is used for transffering tokens, power steem up or down, it is also used to convert steem dollar and to vote for witnesses. when placing order or doing an exchange to a certain profile change ,the active key is the right one to use.

(iv) owner key -owner key is made for resetting all other keys, which includes posting key and active key. You can also use owner key to recover your account ,decline voting right, in tact it is the most powerful key.

(V) Memo key - Memo key is used to send an encrypted message and also view an encrypted message.

HOW TO PRESERVE MY MASTER PASSWORD.

It is important to keep the master password safe, because it is used to drive all the keys to our steem account .as such if any body have access to it they can steal our account and all the token in it.
For this i have vowed to be very careful in the way i handle it in order to keep it out of people. i have also planed to keep an offline copy in a printed page , which i have already done.

HOW TO TRANSFFER YOUR STEEM TOKEN TO ANOTHER STEEM USER ACCOUNT.
I can do this by following this step below. Login to my steem account using my username and posting,click on my image at the top right,also click on the wallet next to the logout .it will now take me to my steem wallet then i will sign in with my username,by means of the active key

Then type in the username of the account user you are transfering to. Type in the amount and click next see the image below.

And then ok to confirm the transaction.

HOW TO POWER UP MY STEEM.
Steem can be converted to steem power,in a process called power up. This is done from the wallet environment too. When you click on the down arrow close to steem then select power up as shown in the image below ,then type in the amount and click power up it is also shown in the image below.
