Achievement 1 @frankly356: This is my Introduction story to Steemit!

Before the introduction, let me begin this way.
As a young man that's always looking out for opportunity to connect with people around the globe and share ideas, i was glad to come across @steemit. After a very rigorous process, my application was approved in January 2019.
@blockchain, @steeblog and @steemit are very new and strange to us in our side of the globe and since i couldn't not get a mentor or teacher, i was not familiar with the platform and my Steem Power remain low (6SP) since January 2019 till now, i became discourage but always stop by to see how to get useful information.
On that note, i want to first of all thank @georgemales for the "500SP Minnow Support Program. Thanks to @cryptokannon for sharing the information.

I am Joseph Inyang from Okobo Local Government Area(LGA) of Akwa Ibom State in Nigeria.
Akwa Ibom State is among the States in the Southern part of Nigeria, commonly refers to as South South or Niger Delta Region.
I was born in September 1988. I grew up to see my father engaged in the business of buying smoked fish and crayfish from the fishing ports around the Bakassi pernisula (that is the crude oil rich boundary between Nigeria and Cameroon) to sell in the Nigerian towns and cities.

My father didn't have opportunity to acquire western education as such he depended on the business transactions across the Atlantic Ocean and around the Nigeria-Cameroon coasts.

After my primary school education in year 2000, my Dad carried me along in his business venture and we settled at Idenau, a coastal village in the South-West region of Cameroon where we were dealing on engine spare parts because of demands by fishermen and marine transporters.

While supporting my Dad in the business, i had desire for educational advancement, that prompted me to seek and gain admission into Salvation Secondary School, Limbe-South West Region.

In June 2007, I registered and sat for the Cameroon Ordinary Level(O'Level) Certificate examination and passed in the eleven(11) registered science subjects. Thereafter, i was admitted into the Baptist High School, Buea - Cameroon and i successfully passed the Advanced Level(A'Level) Certficate Examination with 5 Science subjects in 2009.

To further my education, i returned to Nigeria and wrote the JAMB in 2010 and i was admitted into the University of Uyo, Uyo, Akwa Ibom in 2011 to pursue a degree program in Petroleum Engineering. I graduated in 2016 and was mobilized for the one(1) year compulsory National Youth Service Corps(NYSC) program in April 2017 and was discharged in May 2018.

I have a strong desire to progress in my professional development as a Petroleum Engineer, but i have not been able to gain employment in the oil and gas sector after several applications.

While keeping hope alive, I decided to put my youthful energy into serving God in my local Church and in participating in community development initiatives.

Haven observed the underdevelopment and hardship accasioned by leadership ineptitude in the society, I decided to be actively involved in community service volunteerism, leadership development, good governance and political participation advocacy in my LGA and State.

We cannot deny the impacts of the social media in our world today. The social media has been a veritable tools for change, the voice the voiceless in the society. As an active user of social media, i'm greatly impressed with @steemit which gives us opportunity to express ourselves, learn and be rewarded.
