Having completed by achievements 1 down to 3, and verified, I have decided it's time to get my achievement 4 done and dusted. Today, I will be sharing on my knowledge on this task, titled APPLYING MARKDOWNS.

In explaining this, it's imperative to iterate the fact that when it comes to creating a post, quality comes in place (creativity) of the writer, but not just a creative mind makes your post eloquent, but most importantly, the ability to format your post (content) nicely and in order so as to enable easy readability by your said audience. As a great pioneer once said;

" Writing means organizing your thoughts. If your mind is scattered, your writing is scattered. If your mind is focused, your writing will be clear. Then your reader will say, 'Yes, I get it. " ~ Robert Peate

Another pioneer said;

" Organizing is what you do before you do something, so that when you do it, it is not all mixed up. " ~ A. A. Milne

Which implies there's a vital area for organizing or formatting one's mind and content (post) respectively when it comes to creating good and quality write ups. On this task, a vital questions to ask is what Is markdown?

Markdown is a lightweight markup language that you can use to add formatting elements (Where HTML comes in )to plaintext text documents. Created by John Gruber in 2004, Markdown is now one of the world’s most popular markup languages. ^source

HTML is primarily a markup language which stands for Hypertext Markup Language. Which works with what we call element. And element are made up of tags, which consist of an opening tag (made up of a left angled bracket, a character and a right angled bracket) and a closing tag (made up of a left angled bracket, a forward slash, a character and a right angled bracket).

Steemit as a amazing platform ☺️ as a function of this task (am amazed!) support such Markdowns so as to aid her participants to achieve great, amazing and attractive results. Let's get into the real business of the day.

markdown for HEADLINES

Headline as we all know are title, captions or heading, placed on the top of a write up, usually to give the readers a guide as to what the article or write up in the sense entails. Headlines are also divided to what we call sub headlines. Headline are therefore very relevant, as they give structure to your content (post)

There are two ways you can choose to create a headline;

1.) Insert (place) the # symbol at the front of the text you wish to make a headline. It is very vital to note that the number of the # symbols and the headline size are inversely related (or proportional). I.e as the number of the hashtag symbol # increases, the headline size decreases.

Let's take for example:

Headline 1; MY NAME IS EMMANUEL (1)
Headline 2; MY NAME IS EMMANUEL (2)
Headline 3; MY NAME IS EMMANUEL (3)
Headline 4; MY NAME IS EMMANUEL (4)
Headline 5; MY NAME IS EMMANUEL (5)
Headline 6; MY NAME IS EMMANUEL (6)

These are headline, I can choose to resize these headlines as;

There's also a tip, that can be used for headlines, specifically for H1 and H2

Instead of adding the # as seen above, you can add your title and beneath or in a new line, three dashes for headline 2 or three equal signs for headline one.

Text evidently are the main body of your content (post) one of the markdown a text can undergo is justification which means you arrange your content (post) in such a way that the left and right ends of every single lines of your text, among your paragraphs are in phase distinctly. Let's take for example the below lorem Ipsum text;

markdown for LINKS

Links are primarily the defining feature of what makes the web as a whole. Link performs the action of freely allowing it's users to surf the internet. Therefore adding link(s) to one's post is very essential. (I personally do add links to my posts)

a. You can add or highlight a steem username by adding or indicating at the front of the name the @ symbol, which makes such a name clickable, and on clicking takes you to the users profile.
For example: @eloksjoseph

b. When you add a link 🔗 on STEEMIT, it is easily recognize and clickable. For example:

c. Lastly on link, I learnt how you can also hide a link in a word, where by the word the user see doesn't tell tell where such a link will take them to. For example:
