Achievement 2: Basic steem security by @merit2018

Hope you guys are doing well, good evening great steemians. I am Emmanuel Akpan, I am still a newbie and I completed my achievement days back. The delayed writing of achievement 2 by me was because I was trying to understand basic steem security. My appreciation goes to @crytokannon for the mentorship.

Question 1
Have I retrieve all my keys on steemit
All my keys in steemit has being retrieved. It is saved in my gmail account which is only accessible to me.

Question 2
Do I know each of these keys functions and restrictions

-Posting Key
It is used in logging in into steemit site, use for voting, posting, commenting on people's post, resteeming posts, following or muting people's account and likewise to edit post. This key is basically restricted for just the aboved listed functions and doesn't include any function in transferring of token, steem power i. e either up or down.

-Active key
This is the most sensitive key that's because it involved the transferring of tokens, exchanging of tokens. It can also be use to steem up or down, update some features in your profile and placing of market order.

-Owner Key
Basically it is used to recover of lost accounts, also used for changing of keys. This is just the major functions. This key has to be kept in a secured area.

-Memo Key
Memo key is a private key which is used in encrypting and decrypting messages when it comes to blockchain or in transferring of funds.

-Master Key
It's major and one function of this key which is essential is recovery of keys. When keys are not stored in a secured place, master key is used to recover them all.

Question 3
How do you plan to keep your master password
I saved my master key in a protected area which is my email account, because it is only accessible to me.

Question 4
Do you know how to transfer your steem token to another Steem user account.

step 1- go to wallet

Step2- click on the drop down arrow

Step3- click on the transfer

Step4- insert the person username and amount

Step5- enter the required key and steem will be transfered

Question 5
Do you know how to power up your stem.

step 1- go to wallet

Step2- click on the drop down arrow and select power up

Step3- enter the amount and key, steem will be converted to steem power

Step4- Enter the private key
