#achievement 4: Applying Markdown; @ekenelionel Essential Skills You Need to Become a Successful Content Creator

Creating good online can be overwhelming if the right process isn't followed, otherwise, it can also be quite satisfying when completed.
Online content could be text-based or multimedia-based or a combination of both.

Text-based content usually is article writing, copywriting, research writing, technical writing, or ads copy. While multimedia-based content could be podcasts, Youtube videos, short clips, or graphics designs.

For the past half a decade, I have been to be involved in one or two of such endeavors, and here's a little bit of what I've learned when creating good content over the past few years.

Please note, This article is part of my #achievement 4 task. In this talk, I'll explain how to use at least five different markdown tools to make your posts on Steemit more beautiful.

Since all digital initiatives in today's world are built on the basis of content production, blogs, Web pages, infographics, social media posting, and even movies are all different types of digital content.

The singular goal of all content is to make a connection with an audience. However, beginners might think that creating content might begin with your own thoughts or imaginations. But, the vital first step is actually knowing what facinates your audience and what they value. If you understand this, then you can easily create appealing contents.

If you adhere to this few steps I outlined below, you'll quickly establish yourself as a creation leader in your industry.

Number 1) Know your audience ✅

Take the time to learn about your audience’s interests and patterns, and what they like. With this, you'll discover new ideas for your content. Understanding who your ideal audience is is your first job as a content creator.

When creating new content, ensure you consider what your audience find intriguing, useful or entertaining. Then use that knowledge in your creation.

Number 2) Research and Search engine optimization (SEO) ✅

Creating good content involves filtering a great deal of data and information from a diverse source. And then presenting that data into readable and useful format for your reader.

Carefully researching about a topic provides you with the leverage to discuss authoritatively about a topics in a relevant manner. While helping you grow your writing ability by giving you confidence and clarity.

Research could involve constantly reading about reading other people's work which will help you stay up to date about happenings in your industry.

Now, SEO, one of the most essential skills a content creator should possess. It's basically optimising your content to show up on the first page of Google search results.

Without proper SEO, your content will not rank on Google thus, new customers or readers won't be able to locate it when they make relevant searches.

SEO isn't just for copywriters; a properly curated video SEO and images will help help content rank higher than it would otherwise.

In this sense, learn SEO tools to help you get the most out of material. Every creator should be well-versed in the fundamentals of SEO and apply them to the content they create.

Number 3) Consistency

Consistency is key in building a trustworthy and reliable brand. Whatever you do, the more you create, the more visitors flock to your space.

As a content creator, you must make a commitment to regularly create content that readers are interested in. This is very essential.

Understand that, out of sight, out of mind”, so therefore, to achieve visibility, creators needs dedication and consistency.

Number 4) Encourage feedback✅

Try as much as possible to bring your audience into the loop. Ask them for feedback and then review it to identify unresolved questions.

After that, create your content in response to those queries. This approaches will have a direct and significant impact on your trust score.

Number 5) Rest and recharge

This may be one of the most important aspect of your work. Do not underestimate the importance of rest and recreation. It is proven that creators provides better content after a little bit of rest and recreation.

Humans aren’t designed to run on high level without having a period of rest and relaxation. You need a time for renewal. It allows you to relax and rejuvenate your mind and body.

Take some time off, watch movies, eat well, meet people and socialize, and finally sleep at least six hours every day.
