Hi fellow steemians, how is your day going? Hope is going well? If so, we thank God. Join me as we have a short note on the keys we received when we registered on steemit.

THE KEYS AND THEIR IMPORTANCE

MASTER PASSWORD
Master password as the name implies, is the password under the owner's (master's) control. It used to carry all other activities in STEEMIT and must be safeguarded properly.

OWNER KEY
This is a vital key that plays a vital role. Used for key changing in account and also recovers faulty account.

ACTIVE KEY
Active key is a key used to carry out transactions like transfer, power up, power down, voting, market order , power, updating profile , witness and so on.

POSTING KEY
The only key that allowes user vote , comment, follow and resteem. Logging in each day with your posting key as a user or registered member will be advisable.

MEMO
It is used to encrypt and decryt memos during transaction like transferring of funds. To ecrypt memo, #tag or pound are used before it eg #steemalive.
In summary

All these above mentioned keys are very important, so inorder not to be intruded by any unknown user(intruder), we should keep them safe. One way to obtain this is to store or save it in your Gmail account for proper safeguard and recovery.

HOW TO TRANSFER STEEM TOKEN TO ANOTHER ACCOUNT

To Transfer

• Log into your wallet
  

• Sign in using your active key

• Click on the drop down btoon close to your STEEM balance
  

Click on STEEM Icon, then insert the amount of steem you wish to transfer, then you click on next. For instance I want to send to davchi, you can see that from the wallet below

HOW TO POWER UP

You click on your steem icon, after which you click and then click on power up

• next you click power up. A confirmation message will pop up showing that your steem power has increased.
