Markdown to me is the most complicated thing to use as a newbie in steemit because it's very hard to stick with it in your head. It can be seen as special pattern of writing that makes one's work look attractive. Below are some basic markdown on steemit.

APPLYING MARKDOWN STYLES

1. Heading

Heading is one major markdown used in steemit. It can be done using (#). The number of (#) determines the size of the text.

2. To break a page

When breaking a page, we can use three or four asterisk (****)or (***).

3. Bold, italics, strike

Bold, italics and strikes can be done using * and ~. The number of asterisk determines which pattern you want to use.

4. Text Justify

In steemit, the first thing every writer does before writing is to justify text. Example is shown below.

5. To center a text

Another used markdown is to center a text. When centering a text, we use <, the word center , / and then close with >. Example is shown below.

6. Table

Another fantastic markdown is the creation of tables. You can create a two column, three column or more column table using (- | -).

7. Applying Numbers and Bullet

Numbering can be done using the normal numbers (123) or using asterisk (*) or dash(-).

8. Alignment of text

In alignment of text into two sides, we normally use the justify method but now, instead of text-justify, we use pull-right and pull-left. Example is given below.

9. Subscript

Subscript writing means writing in small text size. It can be done using (</>) and the word (sub).

Conclusion

Markdown is a very fantastic Achievement. If a user learns how to apply markdown with ease, then that user can write very amazingly aligned writing in steemit.
