INTRODUCTION
Hello guys, am writing on my achievement 3 am done with my achievement 1 and 2. Am writing on Plagiarism for my achievement 3.
WHAT IS PLAGIARISM
Plagiarism simply means the act of a user copying another users work, ideas or expressions, word for word and then posting or translating it as your own. A situation whereby a user copies another users work without the consent of the other user it is known be an act of plagiarism.
TYPES OF PLAGIARISM
We basically have 5 different types of plagiarism. And they are listed and explained as follow:
- ACCIDENTAL PLAGIARISM
A situation whereby a user writing or putting forward a content forgets to write the source of a content, this act is known as accidental plagiarism
- SOURCE BASED PLAGIARISM
A situation whereby a user input the wrong source of content is source based plagiarism. when a user making research from a source on steemit and mistakenly input another source talking about forex is said to be source based plagiarism.
- SELF PLAGIARISM
This is when a user post an already done content or research as a new one.
- PARAPHRASING PLAGIARISM
This is a type of plagiarism that deals with a user rephrasing a content word for word from the original post and then posting it as his or her own.
- COMPLETE PLAGIARISM
This plagiarism involves a user copying all content word for word as already written by another user. Only the topic of the content does not change.
WAYS TO COUNTER PLAGIARISM
There are several ways to counter or act against plagiarism. Which are:
- Always be plain and improve your word creativity
- Ensure you have a proper understanding on a topic you are writing or posting on.
- Source any post you are writing on and make reference to them if neeeded.
- Make use of plagiarism checker.
CONCLUSION
Let’s ensure all our researches made are concluded or written in our own understanding. To ensure total abstinence from plagiarism.
