Good day friends, I want to use this opportunity to talk to you about my two favorite inventions of the century.

I would also let you know, what I feel about the future.

My favorite inventions

They are as follows.

Internet and Mobile phones

Let me start with the second one. The one I want to mention first is mobile phones. Yes, prior to 1991 in Nigeria here, some persons like me didn't have any business with the phone booth, where people cue on the line to make phone calls.

Like millions of others my channel of communication with those that are far from me is through letter writing

Then, the mobile phones appeared. It was amazing, unlike the usual letter writing which takes a whole lot of time, now you just press some button and discuss one on one. It was Incredible.

It gave birth to a lot of things in our day to day lives.

In fact, I wouldn't forget easily the day I sent my younger to Anambra state, where he had never been, to go and meet a person, whom he had never met.

He went and his journey was successful. Thanks to the mobile phones which I used to follow his journey connecting him with the person he was going to meet

What would our life today been without the mobile phones?

Mobile phones receives my thumbs up.

The internet

Now, Iet me talk about the second which to me rank Number 1. Ladies and gentle men, roll the drums, it is the internet.

I went online the first time, around 2003.

My journey on the internet started with the then popular website https://www.yahoomail.com
and my first email account then was @sikaluo@https://www.yahoomail.com

I went to a cyber cafe and requested an email account to be created for me. The lady created the account and I took time the same day to learn how to operate the email. Then on my next visit to the cyber cafe, I was able to check my email myself.

Since then, my love for the Internet has only grown, I wonder what we could have done without the internet.

The Internet to me is a global marketplace, an institution of higher learning, and more and more. I wonder how many hours I spent in a year without data on my phone. I love the internet.

I delight in having the greater part of my day to day activities done on the internet. What can we do without the internet?

What about the future,
Will there be another inventions? Why not?

There's no doubt that more and more innovations are on the way,. Even now, with the way things are moving, the blockchain technology seems to be what would surpass the two inventions I mentioned,
Today, my field of study is on blockchain technology, as I believe it would control a lot of things in not too distant future.
