Hello, the good people of Steemit. I will be sharing with you in this article what appears to be everyone's dream and anyone's doom; CHASING MONEY!
Come with me on this journey to understanding, knowledge, wisdom, and insight, and have a transformed mindset.

Understanding the Concept of Money

"Money is an economic unit that functions as a generally recognized medium of exchange for transactional purposes in an economy." "Money is commonly referred to as currency. Economically, each government has its money system. Cryptocurrencies are also being developed for financing and international exchange across the world." "Money is a liquid asset used in the settlement of transactions. It functions based on the general acceptance of its value within a governmental economy and internationally through foreign exchange."

source Money has such characteristics as portability, durability, divisibility, and exchange medium. It functions as a unit of value, store value and medium of exchange.

Chasing Money

Money comes and goes. At the point when you focus on shallow objectives, such as chasing money, you become a lover of money and hence, you draw in shallow individuals, and turning into an individual that is exclusively intrigued by their monetary status causes certain individuals to make associations with those who are just like-minded. On the other way around, essentially doing what makes you genuinely happy will attract the individuals who are doing likewise.

In Biblical perspective, Ecclesiastes 5:10 says "Whoever loves money never has enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with their income. This too is meaningless." 1 Timothy 6:9 - 11 has is that "Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, endurance, and gentleness."

You might imagine that once you arrive at that peak in monetary status, you'll feel like you've made it but that is always not the case. It has happened to millions of people who had the same thoughts. All things being equal, you need more. It's rarely enough. That is because having money as an objective will not top you off—because money isn't an objective. It's an instrument. It's a way to purchase food, wearables, homes, vehicles, pay for medical care bills, settle educational costs, and the wide range of various things that you might think you need or want.

Do you know that money alone doesn't give you a sense of purpose, and casing money won't change the way you feel about yourself? Assuming you need cash only for it, you will not be propelled enough to manage the difficulties you will experience on your way to greatness. You want a solid vision, a reason. According to Steve Taylor, Ph.D., in his book titled "Out of the Darkness", “The need for purpose is one the defining characteristics of human beings. Human beings crave purpose and suffer serious psychological difficulties when we don’t have it. A purpose is a fundamental component of a fulfilling life.” When you look at individuals who have made it to the peak of financial status and think, 'I want to be them.' They should lead such stunning lives. Yet, if you are expecting money to you certainty or cause you to feel more complete, reconsider.

“Despite how powerful money is…it can’t change the way you feel about yourself. That’s where most people go wrong. They want to be powerful; they want to be cool. They want to be admired, and most importantly, they want to admire themselves. But money can’t do anything to change the way you feel about yourself. Your insecurities will survive becoming wealthy. If you’re not proud of who you are, money won’t change that. If you don’t believe in yourself, money will fail you there, too.” - Tom Bilyeu

Reasons You Should Stop Chasing Money

Through my course of studies and research, I've come across two fundamental needs of an individual that money cannot provide. These include:

  1. Money does not guarantee your happiness: Let me be frank with you here, by asking you this question, if your focus is to make more money, then will you have the luxury of time to focus on what makes you happy? Without pretends, the answer is no!
  2. Money will not give the sense of fulfillment: The sense of fulfillment comes from leaving out what does not contribute to your complete life's goals. Actively chasing your life's goals will give you purpose.

What is Worth Chasing Then?

Enthusiasm, passion: Pursuing what makes you enthusiastic can be more rewarding. At the point when you have the vision and an objective, the cash will ultimately follow you. Taking care of business that doesn't get you invigorated can be depleting. Eventually, you become a robot simply making an insincere effort. Doing the very thing you love permits you to be imaginative. It tops you off with energy. At the point when you're energetic with regards to your profession, you wind up working more because it doesn't feel like work. By pursuing enthusiasm, you'll be more satisfied, form better connections and still make a lot (or more) money than somebody who is just pursuing money itself.

I am not saying money is not important. It is important but be guided...

Thank you Steemit, @cryptokannon for this wonderful platform, and this opportunity to express myself.
