Good morning from here, hope we are all doing well? I'm super excited to have finally done this. Indeed, procrastination is bad but i'm glad i did it. As i was writing my school's assignment this post comes to mind, so i decided to drop this first before going on with my work as a guide against plagiarism.

CONTENT ETIQUETTE : This is the dos and don'ts in writing but failure to follow these dos and don'ts is PLAGIARISM.

WHAT IS PLAGIARISM: According to Wikipedia, "plagiarism is the representation of another author's language , thought, ideas or expression as one's own original work". Plagiarism might not be the same in all countries but in some countries such as India and Poland, consider plagiarism to be a crime, and there have been cases of people being imprisoned for plagiarizing.(https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plagiarism)

HOW CAN SOMEONE PLAGIARIZED?
√ Copying and pasting someone's ideas without acknowledging the author.
√ Presenting someone's work as your own.
√ Taking ideas from different sources to make up your own work.
√ Failing to cite or put quotation mark on your quote.

HOW TO AVOID PLAGIARISM
It is very simple to avoid plagiarism if you follow the dos and don'ts in writing, not only in writing but orally as well. It is possible to plagiarised orally, so whatever way STOP PLAGIARISM. Here are ways to avoid plagiarism

QUOTE AND PARAPHRASE: while writing your paper, if you want to share idea from a source, you must either paraphrase or quote the original source. Quoting means copying a piece of text word- for -word. While doing so enclosed quotation marks and correctly attributed to the original author.

E:g,According to Cronon, the concept of wilderness is a cultural invention:

far from being the one place on earth that stands apart from humanity, it is quite profoundly a human creation-indeed, the creation of very particular human at very particular moment in human story.

Paraphrasing means using your own word to explain something from a source.

CITE THE ORIGINAL SOURCE: Every time you quote or paraphrase you must include citation that identifies the original author.

USE A PLAGIARISM CHECKER: This is a technology that scans your document, compares it to huge database of publication and website and highlight passage that are overly similar to other text.
