Achievement 5 - Using Steem Tools - CMP2020 Explanation and Sample Post

in Newcomers' Community4 years ago (edited)

Hello everyone! This is the next post in my explanation of my portion of the achievement system. In this post describing how new users can format their fifth achievement post if they are following my program. Let's get into it!

My Expectations

To be clear, if you are one of the users following my program, please make sure to use my username as one of your tags (so #cmp2020), and make sure to mention me in the article (by saying "@cmp2020").

Please DO NOT tag any of the creators of these tools in your article.

Please make sure to include at least "Achievement 5" or some variation of "Using Steem Tools" in the title of your post.

Please make sure that images are used with permission (or from the public domain).

Please also make sure that your article is original content, and that sources are provided when used.

Lastly, please also make sure to post this through the Steem Greet Community, and use the tag #usingsteemtools.

My Criteria

For the 5th achievement, I will be looking for a demonstration of understanding of the different Steem Tools. The tools I will be focusing on will be steemworld.org, steemscan.com, and steemyy.org. In your post, I would like you to describe, in detail, three features that you like from each tool, and why you like them. The more creative your explanation is, the more rewards I will consider giving the article. I am not just looking for the same article rephrased a million times in this achievement. I want to see an understanding of these tools, and individual preferences on which features of the tools are important.

I will now provide a sample article:

Using Steem Tools from Steem World, SteemScan, and Steemyy

Hello everyone! This is my next article in @cmp2020's system of achievements. In this post, I will be describing the elements of the different Steem Tools that I find most useful.

Steem World

When using Steem World, the first feature I find most useful is the ability to check your voting power in the dashboard, and calculate the value of your vote. This helps me to stay organized in my curation, and figure out how much voting power I want to use for each article that I curate. Here is a sample of @steemcurator03's current voting power:

The next feature I find useful on Steem World is the record of delegation history. Through this tool, I can see which accounts have delegated to a certain account, and where people are delegating. This is useful in keeping track of who is delegating to me, and who I am delegating to. Here is a sample of my delegation history:

The last feature I find useful on Steem World is the witness overview. This allows me to stay up to date with the governance of the Steem Blockchain, and see which version different witnesses are running, and what price feed they are currently using. This tool is very useful in trying to decide who I want to vote for to represent my interests on the blockchain. Here is a sample of the witness overview:

SteemScan

The first feature that I find useful on SteemScan is the account summary. This feature summarizes a lot of information that can be found on other sites (such as Steemit) in a central location. It also allows you to see which witnesses accounts are voting for, and very useful information about their wallet and savings. Here is a sample of the account summary:

The next feature which I find useful on SteemScan is the quick convert feature. This allows you to convert any liquid Steem or SBD you have to Bitcoin, Tron, or the US Dollar Tether. This is useful if you wish to convert the rewards you earn to other currencies in order to cash them out, or if you are just looking for some diversity your investments. Here is a sample of the quick convert feature:

The last feature which I find useful from SteemScan is the block explorer. This allows you to see the specific details of each block, and the transactions that occurred within them. This feature is important when considering the validity of Steem as a Blockchain. Here is a sample block:

Steemyy

The last tool I would like to discuss is Steemyy.com. The first useful feature on this site is definitely the account registration service. This allows you to create an account using an email for free. This is essential for users who need an account created!

The next useful feature I found on this site is the delegation feature. This tool allows me to delegate a portion of my stake to other users, and is quite useful for managing my delegations!

The last feature I found useful is the auto trailer which allows me to follow the curation activities of other users with my account. This tool is cool because you can follow multiple users, and determine the weight you are following with (meaning that you can make it so that you vote with a percentage of the percentage they vote with). This is really useful if I want to earn some curation rewards!

Thanks for reading this! All of these sites contain very useful tools for analyzing the data on the Steem blockchain, and for doing certain actions!

Thanks for reading this! I look forward to reading your posts! Remember to be as creative as possible!
