Achievement 2 Task - Basic Security of Steemit
Hello steemit community. My name is chimene and I am here with the steemit username @chimene to complete my achievement 2 Task.
1. Have you retrieved all your keys on steemit?
Yeah, that was the first task I did when I joined. The platform.
2. Do you know each of these key functions and restrictions?
Yes, I know their various restrictions and functions. Let me briefly explain each of them below.
Posting Key: This is the key that is used for posting, voting/down-voting, commenting, and resteeming other steemit bloggers post. It's is very important and needs to be kept safe.
Active Key: Active Key is used for accessing the wallet server. It is used to transfer steem assets to another account.
Owners Key: This key is widely important because it has can access all other keys Incase they are stolen. Very important to be stored safely.
Master Key: Master key is one of which is used in the same way with owners. The difference is that it cannot retrieve all other keys in case they're stolen.
Memo Key: Used for sending and receiving message across the platform.
How do you plan to keep your master password?
The very day I signed up, I was given a Master key. I can remember, I saved it on my email draft.
Do you know how to transfer your steem token to another steem user account?
Yea, that is done in the wallet section. Let me show below.
In my wallet I clicked on the drop-down menu. And also click on the transfer Option.
I filled the spaces accordingly and clicked on next.
I verified it here by clicking on the black button.
Do you know how to power up your STEEM?
Yeah, it is also done in the wallet section. Just the way I transferred steem, but here I will not click on transfer as I did in the transferring section. Let me teach you below.
I clicked on power up. The second image appeared.
I filled the spaces just to get the next button clickable. After then I clicked on it and powered up steem...
