It has been an interesting ride from achievement 1 and 2 and now I am in achievement 3 where I will talk about plagiarism.
Plagiarism
Plagiarism is the act of copying another person's work without giving him or her proper credit. it can also be taking someone else's work as your original work.
Types of plagiarism.
there are different types of plagiarism but I will talk about a few such as
Deliberate Plagiarism
this type of plagiarism means claiming someone else's work as your own. It is a very usual type of plagiarism
Paraphrasing.
This is a type of plagiarism that involves changing a few words but maintaining the same sentence structure used by the real owner of the work. This type of plagiarism is very common amongst students. It is done by a deliberate act.
Patchwork Paraphrasing
this type of plagiarism is the same as paraphrasing plagiarism but with a little difference. it involves taking words and ideas from several sources or textbooks and putting them together to form your work without giving the author proper credit.
Inaccurate authorship.
In this type of plagiarism, the writer uses two or more sources for his work. And after which he gives credit to only one source. For example, a writer uses the work of 10 different authors for his work and while citing the work, he only cited 1 or 2 out of the 10 authors.
Ways to avoid plagiarism
Someone can avoid plagiarism by being aware of what plagiarism is and the ways different plagiarism.
can be avoided by writing their original piece.
Acknowledging the original author of the work you copied to make up your work
Citation is the act of properly acknowledging the original author of a work. In essence, it is the opposite of plagiarism
