Good day everyone! Welcome to my blog. I'm posting the achievement series and today I'm posting a random post on achievement 4 to fulfill the requirements that newcomers on the Steemit platform are to perform. This write-up is not necessarily random as it is something that I have come up with and have decided to share using this medium.

This write-up is called the Power of... series. In this series I talk about specific things that give us power as humans, some we may be aware of and others we might have even thought about it. I shall only be talking about 3 episodes in this Power of... series, it is my hope that as you go through it, you get enlightened and also inspired. Stay tuned!

Episode 1: Power of a Platform

Google dictionary defines a platform as:

“A raised level surface on which people or things can stand.”

That is a surface area that is elevated where people or things can stand. Source: Google online dictionary

The common definition of a platform is around uncompleted buildings when the bricklayers are building a new house. Other subtle examples of a platform are tables, chairs, church alters, rooftops, etc.

Now, my own definition of a platform is:

A place, entity, or thing were a person can operate in and elevate himself.

From this definition, we can see that a platform is something where you can operate and elevate yourself by learning new things such as skills, topics, culture, etc. You can also get Paid too.

With my definition of a platform in mind, then we can see that there are many platforms. They are dispersed in different industries that are both common and uncommon.

I shall be listing some of them, they include:

These are just a few that have been mentioned, there are countless others available for use. Another interesting thing to consider is that some platforms are easily accessible and some are not, due to some factors. For those that are easily accessible, you can register on these platforms and get acquainted with the inner workings, and see yourself do great things there. These types of platforms are usually online.

Search for any platform you like and operate in it, u would surely see yourself elevated.

Episode 2: Power of Knowledge

Knowledge is a familiarity with someone or something, which can include facts information, description, or skills acquired through experience or education. It can refer to the theoretical or practical understanding of a subject. Source: Slideshare

There is a saying and I quote “Knowledge is Power.” There's no better statement than this. Without knowledge, you would be in the dark or ignorant of so many things. But with knowledge, you would be in the light and this is Power.

For Instance, if you don't have knowledge of how to drive a car, you could see a car as something not important and you would be suffering yourself trekking or using public transportation. But if you know how to drive a car, you can drive a car at will, sometimes you get excited while driving. Even if you don't have a car, having the knowledge of driving puts u in a better place.

Also, being a newcomer on the Steemit platform, if you don't know how to operate on the platform, you can make so many mistakes such as lack of use of markdown in your posts, publishing plagiarized posts, and finally getting muted from different communities that you join, and this can have a very negative impact on you. But having knowledge of the Steemit platform will go a great deal in helping newcomers to perform at their optimal best.

In the previous episode, I talked about Power of Platforms. First you need to have knowledge of the existence of a platform. Then if you decide you want to operate on that platform, you need to get knowledge on how to operate on that platform. A good instance is a Steemit platform which I have given a brief illustration of above.

Without knowledge, you would just be going round in circles in life and generally on any activity you decide to perform. The difference between the high achievers and the rest is Knowledge. There's a saying, “you can't give what you don't have,” therefore if you can't give it, then you don't know it.

Finally, one of the best ways to have knowledge is by getting it both horizontally and vertically. To get knowledge, you can look for people who have done or are doing what you want to do and become friends with them. You can as well go to a school and learn or you can gain through personal experience. All said and done, you must do something to get knowledge.

In addition to the power of knowledge, there are certain things that won't move you again. You wouldn't be scammed easily not because you don't believe but because you have knowledge of how the process of things works. Through knowledge your awareness of things increases, because you know so much.

With enough knowledge, you begin to experience things in a new dimension. The world around you begins to become different from how you experienced it in the past.

Episode 5: Power of Money

The power of money lies in the things we do to make money. A person doing banking things makes bank money, a person doing football things makes football money, a person doing drug things makes drug money, and a person doing porn things makes porn money. Also, Money is not given, it is made, that's why in the world of Gangsterism some of the men there are called Made.

This thing called 'Money' is not something to joke with or toy with. It induces value to a thing, that is why anything you want to buy or sell has an inherent value attached to it. It gives you the freedom to do things you want to do. You can travel anywhere you want to, eat the kind of food you want to, drive the kinds of cars you want to and live in the kind of house you want to.

That said, if you want to make more money, then you must be willing to do more things, it is as simple as that. Most of the top people you see today did so many things that you can't even imagine and that's what put them at the top today. It is because of money people become things, and this is what makes us adults (men). Some become CEOs, footballers, some designers, some bakers, some gangsters, some musicians, some gatemen, some Steemians, and yet some pornstars...

To become any of these things you must partake in specific daily activities related to those things. If you don't do any of these things, then there would be no money for you. What happens is that you get on the street and become a beggar for the same 'Money' that you are not doing anything to make it.

That said, the Power of Money lies in the things that we do every day, so if we want to make more money, then we need to change the things we do to make more money or add another thing to make more money along with the ones you are doing presently.

Money is also an experience. For instance, those of us that have experienced making money in certain ways, like in our traditional workplace, our business, Yahoo boys, Politicians, Run girls, etc. We have all made a certain amount of money which comes along with it certain experiences with it. The experience can be good or bad, the good ones turn them into memories, the bad ones turn them into lessons. It is all part of the experience and making money.
