Hello, Good day to everyone, after my achievement 1 was approved, i am back to write on basic security on STEEM and we all know that security deals with safe keeping because most of the keys are so vital that I cannot do anything without them.

RETRIEVING MY KEYS

Yes I have retrieved all my keys the first day that my account was created. The keys are namely:
1.Posting key
2.Owner key
3.Memo key
4.Active key and
5.Master key

Master key was the first key generated the first day my account was created and was used to get the other keys. I also learned the uses and function of the keys which include:

Posting key is used often and to post daily activities, posting write up ,voting, commenting and so on.

Active key is used normally for fund transactions,making orders buying and selling.

Owner key is usually used to recover account especially when account is hacked or lost also used in changing keys of any of my account.

Memo key is used to code or decode memo when making a financial transactions.

Master key is used to generate other keys,is also used to test other keys untill one works.

How do you plan to keep your master password

I intend keeping my master password in my password manager to avoid it getting to the wrong hand. I will also print out some copy of it and keep offline.

HOW TO TRANSFER MY STEEM TOKEN TO ANOTHER STEEM USER

To transfer token I went straight to my wallet click on it, then to my steem balance, I clicked on the arrow that points down beside the steem balance and then a box is brought out and I select transfer option then in the box that come out I input the username of the person I am making the transfer to and the amount eg @ugocci amount 0.001. then I will use my active key to complete the transaction.

How to power up

To power up my steem I will go straight to my wallet , click on the arrow beside steem then in the little box that will show I will input the amount to power up then click power up as in and use my active key to complete the transaction.

I am grateful that am able to write my achievement 2 and able to learn the importance of my keys. Thank to my humble friend @ngoenyi for assisting me and putting me through.
