My post for achievement 3 which concerns Content Etiquette is below

It all began with the proof of brain concept;

"Proof of brain" concept:

This is the factor which allows people on steemit to earn based on the creativity of their brains. That is making original content.

After that I went into the study of Plagiarism

Plagiarism:

This is copying someone else's ideas or work without giving them the appropriate acknowledgement to the author of the work. The reason for this act is to make it seem as if you are the author of the work.

As seen in the "proof of brain" concept, people are allowed to earn on steemit based on creativity, so this means Plagiarism is not supported by this community, as people will have to come up with original content to earn, and in cases where taken from elsewhere the appropriate acknowledgement and recognition is given.
Plagiarism exist in different forms or types;

✓Global plagiarism:

This is a severe form of plagiarism which involves taking an entire text or piece of work which was done by someone else and present as if your the author.

✓Paraphrasing plagiarism:

This is a serious form of plagiarism which involves taking someone elses ideas or work and changing some words to fit your context without giving appropriate credit.

✓Verbatim Plagiarism:

This is a serious form of plagiarism which involves copying text or ideas directly without citing the source.

✓Mosaic Plagiarism:

This is a serious form in which people take text and ideas from different sources and combine them without citing the source or giving appropriate recognition to the authors.

✓Self-plagiarism:

This is a moderate form in which an individual reuses his or her ideas from a different place or task.

✓Incorrect citation:

This is a moderate form which involves individuals who do not give all information needed in the source citation.

Always referring the source of your information helps in;
*Helps your readers trace the source and learn more.
*It makes you look credible and your work look professional.

When you carry out plagiarism;
*The post won't get you anything (reward).
*The original author of the work may take action against you.
*You may lose followers as your work won't look credible.

✓Citation:

This is the act of pointing copied work or qoutes back to the source. Example

Necessity never made a good bargain
