Achievement 3 concerns content Etiquette.
After going through the post concerning this task , my post for achievement 3 goes thus:

It started with the proof of brain concept which says that on #steemit people are allowed to earn by providing original content based on their creativity and the use of the brain.

Why do #steemit users need to cite sources ?

✓To produce and share quality post with original content.( plagiarised and copy/pasted content is not original content)
✓Plagarism is the appropriation of another persons work (such as images, text , ideas) without any attempt of giving the original source any credit.
The main aim of a plagiarist is to make it look like they are the original people behind the knowledge.

Types of plagiarism include

  • Copying words or ideas from others without giving them credit.
  • Using portions of text from a single source without quoting or citing the original source.
  • Taking text from different sources and editing it to fit your context.
  • presenting someone's work (words or ideas) as your own.
  • putting together well cited sources and an uncited one without giving credit.
  • Submitting well cited work with no original content.
  • Failing to put all direct quotes in quotation marks.
  • Change key words in sentences but using some one else's sentence structure without giving credit.
  • Citing material as paraphrased but relying to much on the source text's original wordings.
  • Giving incorrect information about the sources of a quotation .
  • Paraphrasing text from elsewhere without citing the source.

✓Acknowledgement: Giving credit by correctly Citing the sources whenever you use someone else's thoughts or ideas.
✓Quotations: puting direct quotes in quotation marks.
✓Paraphrase: put someone else's idea in your own words while still giving them proper credit.
Source

✓ Citation: According to libsguide, A citation is a formal reference to a published or unpublished source that you consulted and obtained information from while writing your research paper.
Source
An example of such is

“We cannot solve problems with the kind of thinking we employed when we came up with them.” — Albert Einstein

After reading the #steemit etiquette on #steemit community
I noted some of the points as seen below 👇:

  1. Do not over post.
  2. Do not post and run.
  3. Don't engage in tag spamming.
  4. Do answer your comments.
  5. Do forgive people.
  6. Don't be a fake plagiarist or pass of others work as your own.
  7. Don't directly message people you don't know in the chat.
  8. Don't don't directly ask for votes.

"I have read and understood the steemit etiquette on the steemit community and will do my best to embrace them."

Thanks for reading...

Good evening @ngoenyi
I believe none of my work is plagiased because I either mentioned the source of my work from elsewhere or I put the link (source) to the page where the work is from
