INTRODUCTION

Greeting guys am so happy to have being back once again I must say thank you my mentor @Richy20 he is a true mentor and a teacher and am so excited to be verified on my achievement 2 post thank you so much guys.... I am here to achieve my post 3 and also to be verified as soon as possible with the content"plagiarism".before I go further I will like us to know simply what is this word plagiarism.

WHAT IS PLAGIARISM

"Plagiarism involves the copying of text into a new work without crediting it to the original source."

Elaborating more about Plagiarism. According to my own opinion Plagarism simply means stealing and passing off another person's Ideas thought and contents to yours or it can be said to be an act of representing another person's original work to be one's.Plagiarism is what we see in our everyday activity or our social life,in the sense that you see someone trying to finish up his art work or skill on a platform,you then run ahead of him without letting him or her know about it you went and post it and had much benefits from it. Anyways we will know the types of plagiarism we have and we all will know the one we fall into.

TYPES OF PLAGIARISM

• COMPLETE PLAGIARISM:- Complete plagiarism is when a writer submits one's work in their name or paying someone to write a paper for you.example_:Is submitting a research project of English that your elder sister took some years back.
• DIRECT PLAGIARISM;Direct plagiarism is when a specific sections and paragraphs are included without letting the owner know about it.example_:Rewriting few of the sentences from your source without citing him or her.
• PARAPHRASING PLAGIARISM;-Paraphrase plagiarism is when a writer rearranged another's work with some few words and phrases.example_;A student changing the word or phrase "hey"to "hi".
• SELF PLAGIARISM-;You might be surprised to see that you plagiarize yourself.let's say you wrote an essay about your family and ambitions in life last four years and now you are writing based on a research about the contribution of family in a society at large,the impact family has been able to make in the society today.and when cited properly yo can't be accused of plagiarism.
• PATCHWORK PLAGIARISM;-It refers to where a plagiarized work can be interwoven with the writer's original work.This one can be easy and subtle to miss.example_; generating a particular article from a different source and repharsing it in a in your own words.
• SOURCE BASED PLAGIARISM;-This one can be Conny because the writer might cite their sources correctly but presents the sources in a misleading way.example_;The writer might define a topic of a subject in secondary school while it was derived from a primary school definitions.
• ACCIDENTAL PLAGIARISM;-Accidental plagiarism is a common type of plagiarism because it happens when writer doesn't realise he or she is plagiarizing another person's work.example_;forgetting to cite your source correctly and also failing to put quotes around cited material.

CONSEQUENCES OF PLAGIARISM

• ACADEMIC PROBATION
• FAILURE OF THE ASSIGNMENT
• FAILURE OF THE COURSE
• SUSPENSION
• DISMISSAL FROM THE PROGRAM OR THE INSTITUTION .

Now I have known the consequences of plagiarism how then do I avoid plagiarism

HOW TO AVOID PLAGIARISM

• By studying and understanding the content of what you are writing.
• Be careful as not to expose your work to people until you are done publishing it to a blockchain.
• Try and cite the source on any content you generated
• Remember to use plagiarism checker in order to help you detect any plagiarism at all.
