I am so excited to be here once again. My name is Nwigwe Esther from Nigeria, I know I already introduced myself in my first post which was my achievement 1 task, I did this about a week ago. I want to say thank you to everyone who commented and advised me on the next step to take.

THE ROLE & DEFINITION OF SECURITY

I'll begin by saying security is vital and it plays a massive role in every part of our life. Security means protection, defense, and safety.

TASK AIM

This task intends for me to get trained at getting me to know the functions of each steemit key and how to secure the keys and make proper use of the steemit wallet

QUESTION 1
Have you retrieved all your keys on steemit?

ANSWER
Yes, I retrieved all my keys on steem the very day I finalized my registration

QUESTION 2
Do you know each of the key’s functions and restrictions?

ANSWER
Yes and the functions of these keys vary. Here’s a description of each of my keys:

POSTING KEY: my posting key is used whenever am signing in into steemit site, for posting. Commenting, editing, voting, and devoting.

ACTIVE KEY: my active key is used to transferring tokens, powering steem up and powering down. Active key can also be used in converting steem dollars and the update of profile details.

OWNER KEY: It is used for resetting and to recover other keys.

MEMOS KEY: memo key is used for encrypting and decrypting memos when funds are being transferred.

QUESTION 3
How do you plan to keep your master password?

ANSWER:
My master password has been kept in a non-accessible place by others, it's in a place where only I have access to.

QUESTION 4
Do you know how to transfer your steem token to another steem account?

ANSWER:
Yes. I am familiar with the transfer of my steem token to another steem user account to a moderate extent. These are the steps on which to go about it.

1. login to my steemwallet.com/@(name) using my username and active key

2. click on my wallet as seen below:

1. You click on the hamburger icon at the right top of my page, and you'll see a pop-up

1. click on sign in

2. Then I'll input my username and my active key and click on login.

1. I'll click on the drop-down arrow beside steem and then I’ll click on transfer.

1. I’ll be directed to the appropriate page, ill input the name of the beneficiary I want to transfer and the amount then click on next

QUESTION 5: Do you know how to power up your steem?

ANSWER
Yes, I am conversant with it. These are the steps below:

1. Click on power up

1. Insert all the necessary information

2. Click on power up

1. It will direct you to a page where you'll key in your username and active key to confirm the transfer.

2. Then click on power up.
