I consider plagiarism to be a way of usurping the idea (artistic, intellectual or scientific) made, expressed or published by another person. This action goes against ethical standards and copyright. Depending on the region this crime can receive criminal and civil sanctions such as imprisonment and fines.

How far can a person in the community plagiarize?

In the case of STEEMIT which is a digitized platform that values and respects Copyright and applauds Creativity and Originality, I imagine that plagiarism cannot be admitted in any way and that the sanctions for the person who incurs in it should be the non-approval of its publication, the negative vote and expulsion from the community.

That is why it is suggested to all the friends of STEEMIT to respect the norms of the community and keep in mind all the recommendations, since the quality of the publications will depend significantly on the originality and creativity of the author.

How to say or make a primary source of information?

If to reinforce your approaches in your publication you use ideas, words or images, which are not of your authorship, but come from another source, the most correct thing is to make the respective quote. One way to do it in the community is as follows: when we insert the text or image it is placed in this way [Image source] (insert the site link). You can also in the text before starting the paragraph use the symbol "greater than" (>) and the phrase you wish to use followed by it. This way you will not incur in plagiarism and avoid many discomforts.

Currently with technological advances and laziness many are easily tempted to incur plagiarism. That is why it must be avoided at all costs; there is nothing better than being original, having your own style to do, create and think because you will feel fully proud of yourself. It is simply like a selfie, it can only be your face and not someone else's because otherwise it is not you.
