I hope you all are well by the grace of Almighty.

Today I am presenting my Achievement 2, "Basic Security on Steem." So I would like to give special thanks to the Newcomers’ Community for giving me this opportunity. According to the requirements, I have tried to explain.

Security is the most common fact which plays a vital role in protecting privacy and ownership in every case. In the virtual world, security measures are mandatory, most of which are related to keys or passwords. To avoid vulnerability, each security term for a respective account should be followed with proper caution.

Question 1: Have you retrieved all your keys on Steemit?
Yes, I have retrieved all of my keys successfully. According to the recommendation of Steemit, I have saved the pdf file of keys to my Google Drive and kept a printed copy of it.

Question 2: Do you know each of these key functions and restrictions?
After signing up for my Steemit account, I got a pdf file with different keys. These keys are generated differently from one another based on the purpose of the action. These keys are:

Master key:
Master password is the last resort for recovering an account. If we face any difficulties and have no other choice but to compromise or recover the account, we will use the Master key. So, the importance of the safety of this key is essential. We will use this key only to:
• recover account.
• generate all other keys, including this one.
• change the settings of account.
• act as an alternative to any key.

Owner key:
Owner key is considered the most powerful key. By using this key, we can:
• reset the posting key, the active key, and also this key,
• recover a compromised account,
• decline voting rights,
• act as an alternative to an active key for transferring funds.

Posting key:
We need to use the Private Posting key for performing daily Steemit activity. We can use this key to:
• login account,
• post, comment, edit a blog,
• vote and resteem blog,
• follow or mute other accounts.

Active key:
For executing monetary actions in the Steem wallet, we need to use the Active key. We can use this key to:
• power up or down steem,
• transfer steem,
• convert steem dollars,
• update profile details and avatar,
• vote for witnesses,
• place a market order on an exchange.

Memo key:
Memo key is used to strengthen security in transferring funds by preventing any unauthorized access to private messages between users. So, these keys should be kept secure. We have to use this key to:
• encrypt memos,
• decrypt memos.
In order to encrypt a memo, one should use the pound (#) sign before it.

Question 3: How do you plan to keep your Master password?
It is considered that losing the Master key is like losing an account and its funds completely. As it is our last safeguard, we need to be careful about its security.
To ensure its safety, I have
• saved it on my Google Drive,
• kept a printed copy of it,
• written it down in my private diary,
And of course, I did not and will not share it with any third party.

Question 4: Do you know how to transfer your steem token to another steem user account?
Yes, I do.
Step-1
For transferring steem tokens to another steem user account, we have to log in with Active key. Then we have to go to the "Steem" section.
Step-2
By clicking on the drop-down menu right next to it, we will find several options, but we have to click on "Transfer".

Step-3
Then a new page titled "Transfer to Account" will appear. Here, we need to enter another Steemit user name and confirm vesting. And we can insert a private message in the memo part, which is optional. Then we have to click on "Next".

Step-4
Then a confirmation page will appear. Here, we have to click on "Ok".

Step-5
At last, after appearing on the final page titled "Sign to complete transfer," we have to enter our Active key or, Owner key or, Master key to perform the action successfully.

Question 5: Do you know how to power up your steem?
Yes, I do.
Step-1
For powering up Steem, after logging in with Active key, we have to go to the "Steem" section.
Step-2
By clicking on the drop-down menu right next to it, we will find several options. Here, we have to click on "Power Up".

Step-3
Then a new page titled "Convert to Steem Power" will appear. Here, we have to confirm vesting and then click on "Power Up".

Step-4
To confirm transfer to vesting, we have to click on "Ok".

Then we have to refresh the page to see the updated balance in our wallet.
