Introduction:
I'm here to talk about or explain plagiarism and why it's not good as a form of writing.
And of course this is also my fulfilment of my achievement 3 post required on the newcommer community.

Plagiarism:
Plagiarism can be defined the use of any image, sentence or information by another author without giving the author due credit.
Plagiarism is basically theft because the offenders are using someone else's intellectual property or work without constant. Steemit is a platform that encourages proof of brain (PoB)and creativity of its users and rewards them according to the quality of their post. How would I feel if my hard work was stolen by another author without giving me any credit? I would feel terrible and this is one of the many reasons we should not plagiarize as we won't be happy if it was done to us.

Here on Steemit, plagiarism can been seen a lot because most people rather just copy other people's work rather than do it themselves and these just show there are really lazy and relaxed and are totally uninterested in steemit.
Plagiarism is really bad and never should be encouraged both on Steemit and anywhere at all. You could actually see it on here that most individuals just wait for others to do their achievement ,contest etc and just plagiarise (copy)their work and that's not what steemit is all about. Here you actually have do your own work and not copy because that's the fun and beauty of it. People who actually plagiarise should be punished as they should pay for their consequence.
Any of form of plagiarism should also be punished and not encouraged and these is where I shine some light on the most common type of plagiarism called Paraphrasing. Paraphrasing can be defined as when an individual uses the same words , sentence or paragraph, post with the original writer and changes a few things in other to deceive people. In my short time on steemit I have come across alot of paraphrased posts and the community admins always try their best to reduce and stop their active members from carrying out this form of plagiarism.By doing such you have purposeful omitted the original owners work or post and claimed it as yours. This is very wrong and should be frowned at seriously. There exists some other forms of plagiarism which include Accidental plagiarism, verbatim plagiarism etc

There is actually a better way of using someone else's work or post rather than just plagiarise his/her work, which is called citation.
Citation can be seen as the proper way of acknowledgement of content and works gotten by another author. Through this process you publicly declare where and who owns the work you post rather than silently and openly lay claims of stolen work. Rightful acknowledging the author of the post.

"Ability is what you’re capable of doing. Motivation determines what you do. Attitude determines how well you do it.” –Lou Holtz
