What is plagiarism?

In colloquial words, it consists of the theft of ideas, audiovisual content, writings, music or any other content that has copyright. That is, it is to copy the work of other users by passing it off as their own or unpublished.

Types of plagiarism

Complete Plagiarism:

It happens, when a person or rather user, shares a work of another user, with his own name, that is, of his authorship.

Plagiarism Paraphrased:

It consists of taking the content of another user, and presenting it as their own, modifying some words or phrases of the same.

Accidental Plagiarism:

It is something that usually happens often, if we are guided by a text to complement our information, but we forget to place the source, it will be considered accidental plagiarism.

Mixed Plagiarism:

It consists of taking the content of several users, joining it into one and presenting it as its own and unpublished content.

How can plagiarism be avoided?

An important part in all the creation of original Content, I am sure it is based on Being Creative, our mind is an endless number of ideas, we just have to know how to take advantage of it, we can also analyze the information, and share it in our own words.

If at any time you need to supplement your information from another article, you can do it... Of course, remember to cite the sources from where you get each information, even if it is the meaning of a word. You can also use quotation marks or the author's name.

Example:

Plagiarism

Plagiarism is the representation of another author's language, thoughts, ideas, or expressions as one's own original work. In educational contexts, there are differing definitions of plagiarism depending on the institution. Plagiarism is considered a violation of academic integrity and a breach of journalistic ethics. source

Why Shouldn't We Commit Fraud or Plagiarism In Steemit?

Because looking at it from a broad point of view, it can be considered, as a very big offense for all users who make life within the platform, in addition to being totally penalized by the Curators, community administrators and Country Representatives.

In addition to that, we also run the risk, of doubting, that all our other content is 100% original and our own. We have to be aware, that learning to recognize the work of others, allows us to believe and be honest people.
