Contest: My First Independent Journey| My Journey to Success

Hello mga Ka steemians!!

I am here again to share and join this exciting contest. I came across this contest and hoping to share my experience too.

Before I landed a good job I was once jobless too for couple of years. It was a leap of faith having my first travel alone to get a job. I left my family in Cebu and stayed in Manila for almost a year to apply for my dream job.

This is me working as assistant in the company I am applying for, I am nit receiving any salary here but just an allowance. I had to accept this because once they see my determination they will line me up for the next batch of Seafarers.

At times being alone I had to eat alone, being far from my family and wife was the hardest. I had to be separated from them for the longest time but that's how my job will be. I remember there were days I just had to look at the photograph of my kids whenever I miss her. It was hard not being able to provide for your family. My wife had to work hard to support me and our family.

My friends were the family I had when I was all alone. Sometimes they would treat food because I had to budget my money since I haven't got a job yet and I didn't want to keep on asking money to my wife since I know she also has to budget her money.

But God was so good to me. And here I am, my very first voyage. My first journey as a Seafarer. My dream journey, I finally get to work as a seafarer. Tough start but a fruitful result. I now can buy all the things my family needs.

I can travel everywhere, I have been to many places overseas and I give my wife the best life she can ever have. My journey as an aspiring seafarer was difficult. I had to please so many people, I had to bow my head down and obey every superiors command. Bit now I have finally have my head up and say I have achieved it.

Some of my friends may have not succeed as a seafarer or had an accident but I know God is with me all the way. Amd my family and wife is always there waiting for me that's the only thing I need.

Christmas, new year and birthdays may be celebrated with them but when I come home in this journey I promise to make my days with them extra special.
