Good evening everyone and happy weekend. Trust we are enjoying our weekend. This is my first post in this community and i am so glad to take part in this contest.

I want to appreciate @slon21veka for coming up with such a thought provoking contest. There are so many disgusting things in life but what a person perceives as disgusting may not be so for another, but below are some disgusting this i know.

One of the most inhuman thing that can happen to any body is rape and its so disgusting. So many victims or rape always find it very hard to speak up because of the isolations from the public. For some of this victims, this experience can be frightening and draining emotionally. Rape has been seriously wounded but the scars have been hidden from public eyes. Although survivors stories will help those still going through the same experience in life, but not many of them would like to share it. Sexual assault is something that is totally unacceptable in the society. Prior to this time, this issue was always overlooked. The society today is evolving, but unfortunately, this issue is still a daily occurrence.

Domestic violence is an issue that has sent so many women and men to their early graves today. Yearly, so many children witness domestic violence in their homes. Research has shown that those children has been exposed to domestic violence at home are more likely to develop health problems. This health issues ranges from constant sickness, chronic conditions like heart disease or gastrointestinal disorders to developing frequent headaches or stomachaches.

Males who have experienced domestic violence in their family at some point are likely to abuse their own partners and children in future.

This is another leading cause of homelessness among families. Some people who have survived it tend to pass through high rates of depression, sleeplessness, fear, flashbacks, and other emotional distress.
