Today I will discuss with you about our city. My town's name is Meherpur district of Bangladesh. Meherpur is the smallest district in Bangladesh.
Meherpur District:
- Meherpur district is a district of Bangladesh. It belongs to Khulna division. It is a border district in the western part of Bangladesh. Kushtia District and West Bengal (India) on the north, Chuadanga and West Bengal (India) on the south, Chuadanga and Kushtia Districts on the east, West Bengal (India) on the west. The district consists of Gangani, Mujibnagar and Meherpur Sadar.How to get there?
- The distance from the capital Dhaka to the district headquarters is 240 kilometers. Here you have to come by road. However, due to the lack of railways and airports, it is not possible to get anywhere directly through these two routes. Also, inland waterways are not well developed, so access to waterways is not possible everywhere.Airways:
- It is not possible to travel directly by air as there is no airport here. However, domestic flights from Dhaka to Jessore; Then you can reach Meherpur by road through Jhenaidah and Chuadanga districts.
Roads:
- There is direct bus service with the capital city. There is inter-district bus service. Direct buses are available from Gabtali and Sayedabad bus terminals to travel to Meherpur district. Non AC bus fares range from Rs 450 to Rs 500 and for AC buses from Rs 800 to Rs 1,200.- Besides, there is direct bus service from Rajshahi to Meherpur district. There are two bus services called Golden Star and Ashar Pradeep Paribahan. Golden Star Paribahan departs from Bhadra junction in Rajshahi at 7.30 am and Ashar Pradeep Paribahan leaves at 5.30 pm. There is also a BRTC bus service which leaves from Meerut at noon for Ruher Gate. Rent 350 rupees.
There is a bus service from Bagerhat to Khulna, Jessore, Jhenaidah called Mashranga Travels. The bus left Bagerhat for Meherpur at 2.30 pm.
There is a bus service from Khulna called RA Paribahan. Rent 220 rupees.
Railroad:
- There is no railway in Meherpur district. After going to Chuadanga by road, one can go to Dhaka, Khulna, Jessore, Kushtia, Rajshahi, Natore, Sirajganj, Tangail, Gazipur, Chapainawabganj, Syedpur by rail from Chuadanga.★★★ STEEM-BRU(BY-RU-UA) ★★★
