CONTEST // #GRAFFITI OF MY CITY №32 - Fountain House graffiti

The Fountain House is one of the palaces that belonged to the Sheremetev count family. The residence, built in 1712, was named after the Fontanka River, on the bank of which it stands. The times when the titles of count or, for example, prince meant something have long passed in Russia, so now the Music Museum is located in the main building of the palace, and the Anna Akhmatova Museum is located in one of the courtyard wings.

Фонтанный дом - один из дворцов, принадлежавших графской семье Шереметевых. Резиденция, построенная в 1712 году, была названа в честь реки Фонтанки, на берегу которой она стоит. Времена, когда титулы графа или, например, князя что-то в России значили, давно прошли, поэтому сейчас в главном здании дворца расположился Музей музыки, а в одном из дворовых флигелей находится Музей Анны Ахматовой.

Personally, Akhmatova's poetic creativity is not close to me, but I looked at the graffiti that decorate the doorway and walls of the houses closest to the museum wing, not without interest. You can walk to the Museum from Liteyny Prospekt, and there, right in the arch, visitors are greeted by a large portrait of Anna Andreevna. In general, there are a lot of images of Akhmatova here (and not only Akhmatova, here you also can see Joseph Brodsky, with whom she was friends for many years), some are made by a talented hand, some are... well, so-so.

Лично мне поэтическое творчество Ахматовой не близко, но граффити, украшающие подворотню и стены домов, ближайших к музейному крылу, я рассматривала не без интереса. Пройти к Музею можно со стороны Литейного проспекта, и там, прямо в арке, посетителей встречает большой портрет Анны Андреевны. Вообще здесь много изображений Ахматовой (и не только Ахматовой, вот, как видите, Иосиф Бродский, с которым она дружила много лет), некоторые выполнены талантливой рукой, некоторые... ну, так себе.

And someone combined the famous portrait of Akhmatova by Nathan Altman with the "Lover of Absinthe" by Pablo Picasso. However, this person forgot to add a second glass)) Did Akhmatova like absinthe? I don't know. Maybe Modigliani treated her to it in Paris?

А кто-то взял и совместил знаменитый портрет Ахматовой кисти Натана Альтмана с "Любительницей абсента" Пабло Пикассо. Правда, этот человек забыл добавить вторую рюмку)) Любила ли Ахматова абсент? Я не знаю. Может, Модильяни ее им угощал в Париже?

But the main thing is, of course, poetry. All the walls here are dotted with poetic lines. Here, of course, there are quotes from Akhmatova herself, Brodsky, and other poets...

Но главное - это, конечно, стихи. Все стены здесь испещрены поэтическими строчками. Здесь, естественно, есть цитаты самой Ахматовой, Бродского, других поэтов...

And, of course, visitors to the Museum also showed their poetic talents here. Inscriptions in the style of "There was (name)" are also found, but, for the most part, people use these walls to write poetry. Good or not, but poetry. And it pleases. So let's read, or what? All photos are clickable))

И, разумеется, посетители Музея также здесь вовсю проявили свои поэтические таланты. Надписи в стиле "Здесь был такой-то" встречаются тоже, но, по большей части, люди используют эти стены, чтобы писать стихи. Хорошие или не очень, но стихи. И это радует.
