Once, there live a fox who chased by a tiger in a forest. He ran as fast as he can in order to save his own life. But unfortunately, he fell into a well which was covered with shrubs that obstructed his vision as he was running. He could not jump out of the well. Now the fox knows that death is now approaching him in that well. He became very sad.

Soon, the fox heard a goat bleating near the well. He shouted loudly from the well to call the goat. The goat came closer to the well and asked him, "Friend, what are you doing inside the well?"

The Fox then said to her, "Friend, haven't you heard that a drought will becoming soon coming in this country, and there will be no where to find water in the country? That is why I came here to enjoy the sweet water from this well. The water is so tasty that I do not even know if I am hungry. Why don't you join me to enjoy our time together, friend? Just jump in, and give me pleasant company! "

The foolish goat could not think far and believed the fox and agreed to join him inside as her friend. As she jumped inside, the fox placed one of his feet on the horn and escaped from the well and left the goat. Now the poor goat is left inside the well. She cried loudly to call the fox, "Friend, why are you going to leave me here alone? Please come back. "

The fox said to her, "Friend, you should have looked before you leaped into the well to see if it is possible for you to come out from it. You did not do that, and hence I will let you suffer. "

The fox left the place, and the goat lay down inside the well, and now counting the days until her inevitable death.
