Introduction

A new week is here to begin sharing thoughts and ideas on the development of the steem blockchain industry. The blockchain is doing so much well lately with the current appreciation of the price of steem and sbd. Several other cryptos are thriving so much better in the game. Steemit has given us a lot of insight that needs to be shared on the blockchain. The many experienced gained have great impacts on our daily lives if they are well lived.

Today l share my views on the expectations of steem for the future. In this regard, my focus will possibly be limited to where I reside, ghana. There are many amazing things that seemingly have the potential of making it happen. An attempt has been made over the past years to ensure this is done. I wouldn't say we failed as Ghanaians but rather, significant progress was made. The integration of Tron and stem is greater now to make some of these expectations come to a reality. My writing will be centered on the financial aspect.

Steem integration with banks

Having worked with a few banks over the past years, l have gained a lot of insight into the financial industry through my hard work and daily management of monetary activities. Let me give thanks to @mcsamm who introduced me to the steemit platform. This happened when he came to make some transaction at the bank where l work then. He had made that bank his primary bank where most of his financial activities were held. We got connected to share some more ideas on how to get me involved in blockchain activities. He even managed to get the other staff l work with signed up for steemit through the personal steem promotion he makes every time he visits the bank.

 customers at the bank for transaction

A good number of discussions has gone on over the past years between myself and @mcsamm on the things that steemit would really be of help if they are in existence. One of which l want to share today is the most daily happenings of steemians in Ghana. It is my utmost desire to see steemit making this idea happen especially here in Ghana.

Even though banks in ghana over the few years had complained bitterly to the government about how mobile money services have taken over financial transactions. A quarterly report once released during my stay at fidelity bank indicated that 82% of Ghanaians believe more in the mobile money service than keeping monies at the bank. This and many other reasons affected the activities of most banks compelling the government to ensure high tariffs were placed on momo transactions in other to discourage people from their patronage on the mobile money service.

However, banks and financial institutions have gained roots already to work massively in the country even as the momo service has been a bit of a challenge to their activities. Maybe we can look at things from this angle. Ghanaians on steemit will be better of if banks and other financial institutions begin to accept payments of cryptocurrencies. By so doing, steem will be connected to the accounts of people here in ghana. What it simply means is to see steem transactions been made at banks here in Africa since financial institutions have accepted to operate with cryptocurrency.

Steem ATM machines for transactions

Moreso, life would be easier when an electronic system such as an ATM machine is made to transact with crypto. I imagine walking to an ATM machine here in ghana which is designed just for stem and other cryptos. This would in a way make Ghanaians so much proud to see the stem we have preached about for years having its own machine where steemians in ghana can hold activities. We are making serious progress as a community to ensure steemit is the only blockchain and social media the youth of ghana stays always. But going forward, my expectations in the coming years as we expand the growth of this platform is hoping to see banks and financial institutions beginning to integrate cryptocurrency in their activities.

With this l can easily transfer money from my bank to stem account to power up, receive and transfer from steem to other accounts at banks with ease. It may not be seen soon, but it sure will be the best thing l would expect to happen going forward. This is why some government agencies have started talking to the government to look into making cryptocurrency allowed here in ghana since many people are directly involved every day. The steem ATM machine will be an extremely marvelous project to see as well. Until then, let us keep working harder to ensure steemit reaches the heart of many. By so doing, pushing harder to see banks make use of crypto in their transactions will be easy operational since many people add their voice.

 @aquatp2 and @mcsamm

I am very optimistic things will get better. Many thanks to leadership for opening up to receive some of these expectations we have for the future. Steemit is the new platform for all. Let us live it well.
