After getting her freshened up, I prepared breakfast for both of us. We had a simple meal, followed by my morning tea. Nowadays, I spend more time with her after breakfast as we’re preparing her for school. A little pre-schooling has become part of our routine. After some quality time together, she watched cartoons while I headed to the kitchen to prepare lunch.

Since it was a rainy day, making “khichuri” was a must. My husband loves "sobji leta khichuri" paired with dim vaji, achar, and ghee. I decided to surprise him by cooking her favorite dish. I washed the rice and lentils while my helper had already cut the vegetables. After a successful cooking session, I took a break as the electrician came to repair our microwave. Unfortunately, it needed serious repair, so he took it with him.

Once everything was done , I took a shower and got ready for the rest of the day. It was still raining, and since my husband’s office had less pressure due to the weather, he came home for lunch. He was delighted by the special meal, and we had a fulfilling family lunch together. The cozy weather and the satisfying meal naturally called for an afternoon nap.

However , during our nap , a friend called, inviting us for an impromptu outing. Initially, it was hard to get ready, but once we did, we had a blast! Our first stop was near a beautiful river at a naval spot. We spent time there until sunset, enjoying the mesmerizing view as the sky turned into a fairytale-like scene, with shades of purple filling the horizon. It was truly magical!

Afterward, we headed to “West Point,” but the area was too muddy from the rain, so we decided to go to the Chattogram Circuit House. Opposite the house, there’s a row of street food vendors, and the momos there are quite popular. We indulged in momos, pitha, potato twisters, and tea. Despite being street food, everything was delicious and fresh. Our babies also had fun, and we all enjoyed the evening with laughter and great food.

After such an eventful evening, we returned home feeling refreshed and content. During the outing, we even made plans for another adventure—a trip to Cox’s Bazar next week! So, that was my day—a mix of family time, delicious food, and fun with friends. Looking forward to the upcoming adventures!
