As it was a Friday , our weekend , we decided to sleep in a little. When we woke up , the sky was gloomy, and rain drizzled softly outside—a lovely start to the day. After freshening up , we had a cozy breakfast of paratha, eggs, and beef bhuna.

Later in the morning 11.30, I started craving some warm singara and tea , perfect for the rainy weather. My husband, ever so thoughtful, went out and managed to get them despite the rain. His gesture meant a lot to me. We savored the delicious singara with cups of milk tea, making the rainy morning even more special.

With breakfast and tea enjoyed, I turned my attention to the kitchen. I like to prepare most of our weekend lunch in previous so I can spend as much time as possible with my family. That day, only a few dishes needed to be finished, and I handed over those tasks to my helping hand.

As I was cooking, I noticed the rain pouring down like a waterfall. For days, I had wanted to enjoy the rain, but the timing had never been right. However, that day felt perfect. Without hesitation, we all went to the rooftop to enjoy the rain together. After a long time , I finally had the chance to bathe in the rain , and my little one was bursting with excitement! She was screaming and laughing, completely lost in joy, and I didn't stop her—I wanted her to savor the moment just as much as I did. Seeing her happy face was everything to me.

After spending what felt like hours in the rain, we headed back inside for a warm shower. My husband went off to Friday prayers while I quickly wrapped up the lunch preparations and planned our afternoon activities.

After lunch , we all took a short nap. By the late afternoon, the rain had stopped, and we decided to go out. As it’s the weekend, it's important for us to take our daughter out. While getting ready, we spotted a faint rainbow in the western sky, just as the sun was setting. The sky looked even more beautiful in person than in any picture I could capture.

Our destination for the evening was “West Point,” the naval beach at Patenga, just a 15-minute drive from home. We arrived by early evening, and sitting by the beach was as peaceful as always. The sea has a way of drawing us in every time. We sat there for a long while , enjoying the cool sea breeze and munching on evening snacks. I had piyaju and beguni, my husband enjoyed naan with paratha, and our daughter happily sipped on her juice.

It was such a beautiful day spent with my family, filled with love, laughter, and memories. Alhamdulillah!
