That day, I woke up a little earlier than usual because I had some household chores to finish before my daughter woke up, as she tends to interrupt. If I had waited, what usually takes one hour could stretch to 1.5 or 2 hours. So , I thought , why not wake up early and finish everything? After waking up, I had a cup of tea and then started my work. A little while later, my daughter woke up. After freshening up, we sat down for breakfast. Recently, I started eating healthier and reduced my food portions. That day, I had sautéed vegetables, an egg, and a yogurt drink.

After that, I spent some time with my daughter watching TV. We watched "Duronto," her recent favorite. After spending some time watching, I went to the kitchen to cook lunch. That day, I prepared "lau daal" and "chicken curry." After a long cooking session, we took our bath, had lunch, and then took a little afternoon nap, which is part of our daily routine.

After a refreshing nap, we decided to go out since my husband was home from work. We decided to go for an evening walk and then head to a local market to buy something special—something that would bring happiness to my daughter—and some necessary groceries for the house. It had been raining a little since the afternoon, but we still went out. We walked around the nearby area for a while before heading to buy the surprise. For some days, my daughter had been wanting a new bicycle. She had an old one , but it had become too small and worn out . She had been asking for a new , bigger one almost daily, so we decided to buy it for her that day.

When we arrived at the cycle shop, she got excited and happy. She immediately realized that we were going to buy a cycle for her. She even chose the color herself. After selecting the cycle and confirming the choice , the seller asked for some time to process and adjust the cycle according to my daughter's comfort. However, my little girl was too impatient to wait that long—she just wanted to bring it home and start riding it. But the shop needed some time to fix everything, so we decided to finish our other necessary shopping in the meantime.

After completing our shopping, we returned to the cycle shop, where they had already finished fixing the cycle. It was ready for us, and my daughter was ecstatic to see her new hot pink cycle, ready to go home with us. She could hardly wait to ride it. Finally, after making the payment, which cost 6,200 Taka (approximately $52.30 USD), we took the cycle home. My baby was extremely happy, and her eyes were sparkling with joy.

On our way back, after buying my daughter’s happiness, she suggested we take a tea break at a tea stall since it was drizzling outside and we hadn't had our evening tea. We stopped at a nearby tea stall and enjoyed a cup of thick milk tea , which was perfect for the weather.

Spending this day made me realize once again that a child’s happiness is what matters most in life. It is the most precious and priceless thing. As parents , when you can fulfill your child's dreams and see their happiness , it feels like the ultimate success.
