SEC-S10W3: Teamwork Makes The Dream Work.

Assalamu Alaikum everyone. Today I am going to participate in the third week challenge of Steemit Engagement Challenge Season 10 of Steem for Bangladesh Community. Where the theme of the contest is "Teamwork Makes the Dream Work". Today I will share its benefits and my experience with you through this competition.

What does the phrase "Teamwork Makes the Dream Work" mean to you?

"Teamwork Makes the Dream Work" is when you work as a team to make your dream job a reality. Teamwork makes a dream possible. It requires an effective team work that helps a desired dream reach its goals. I think an effective teamwork is much more successful than any one individual. For example, it becomes challenging for a person to work alone or to achieve goals.

In this case I would say, maybe by working alone we can achieve high success but if that work is done through teamwork then overall there is a possibility of achieving quick success in the work. I think that I can achieve the success of my organization only when teamwork makes the dream come true. Besides, to work through teamwork, all team members must have a positive attitude.

Do you have experience being involved in team-based work?

Yes, definitely. In my workplace I accomplish various tasks through teamwork. It creates mutual understanding, empathy and compassion among our colleagues. And that's how each of us works as part of a team. Currently, I am involved with various committees at my workplace. There are several significant committees in my office where I have to work through teamwork, such as: Tender Evaluation Committee, Annual Performance Committee, Integrity Action Plan etc.

^{(Self Image)/ I am engaged as Member Secretary of Tender Evaluation Team at my workplace and I am accompanied by Team President and other members./Bangladesh Betar, Dhaka, Bangladesh.}

In the above committee we form a team with 5 to 6 members in each group. Where first each person in the team is assigned a position according to their merit. As I work in team as member secretary of every committee in my workplace. The chief executive officer of the team is the president. The rest of the team members work at the specified time and submit the report to the president. Following are the learning experiences that I have had in working in teamwork at my workplace:

• After forming the team, clearly define the team work among the members and create momentum of the work.

• Working according to every instruction of the team leader.

• In case of disagreement among team members, resolve it according to the necessary instructions and give priority to everyone's opinion.

• All members of the team need to have an attitude of mutual cooperation.

• Finally as a team we observe and outline and hand over the work to the team leader.

What obstacles did you face in working as a team?

I have had to face some obstacles in working in a team. I think the common problem in a Team Orak is lack of trust and misunderstanding. I as a worker need to communicate with each other to solve the problem and in this way we can express our thoughts about work management in a team and evaluate everyone's opinion.

Apart from these, lack of communication, lack of transparency, uncertainty in responsibilities, lack of unity of direction, failure to share information, lack of time awareness etc. are some of the things I have encountered while doing teamwork in my workplace. But I think these obstacles are common problems in every team work. And solving these problems requires mutual understanding and cooperation among all team members. With such a mindset any team work can make dreams come true.

Is it possible that a person can achieve more by engaging in teamwork than individually?

I think it is possible for a person to achieve their goals individually but it becomes more challenging. And if the work can be done as a team then it will be possible to implement the dream job quickly by applying the skills of everyone in the team. So I think working as a team is more effective than an independent or individual worker. It becomes difficult for a single person to accomplish that task.

Teamwork is at least as important to success. Every step of the work can be learned through new experience in every case. For example: team management, supervising work, communicating with clients, preparing work reports, etc. which cannot be done by a person individually. So I think to achieve the desired success by doing more team work and increasing your skills.

Conclusion

Finally, the advantage of a team work is to increase the productivity as well as to share the workload and deadlines of the team members, the work dynamics and quick success can be achieved.
