The day was 08/02/2025, a Saturday. I had already planned to go to the Amar Ekushey Book Fair on the 8th, so that morning I woke up early, freshened up and had breakfast. After breakfast, I started getting ready. Two of my friends and one of them's mother also went with me. We got ready and left for the book fair. First, we went to Shibu Market bus stand, after waiting for a long time for the bus, the bus arrived and we boarded the bus. The bus dropped us right in front of Suhrawardi Udyan, the bus fare was 30 taka per person. By the time we left, it was 2 pm. It took about 2 hours to go from Shibu Market to Suhrawardi Udyan.

In front of the gate of Suhrawardy Udyan, Amar Ekushey Book Fair was beautifully written. It looked very attractive. As soon as I entered inside, I saw many bookstores. Since it was noon, not all the stores were open, sometimes some were closed. We started walking around, going to each store and seeing all kinds of books. It was really a very good experience, this was my first time going to a book fair and I really liked it.

There were many types of books, travel books, story books, poetry books, novels, literature books, etc. Among all these books, I liked one book very much. The book was a book of poetry, the name was "Khopa" by the writer Akmal Sarkar Raju. I liked the poems in the book very much and the writing was also very beautiful, so I bought this book, the price of the book was 120 taka.

Then we wandered around for a while, went to different places and took some pictures. The book fair was arranged in different ways to make it very interesting, we wandered around and took pictures in all those places. Then we sat on the bank of the lake and rested for a while and chatted with friends.

After resting, we left the book fair and walked down the street. We saw people selling fuska. We all ate fuska together. A bowl of fuska cost 40 taka, and the fuska was very tasty. After eating fuska, we had tea from a tea shop, a cup of tea cost 10 taka. After eating tea, we set off to return home.

On the way home, I saw some balloons on the road, so I told the shopkeeper uncle to hold a balloon and take a picture. Then, to go home, we took the metro from Suhrawardy to Gulistan. The fare per person in the metro was 20 taka and from there we took a bus to Shibu Market. The bus fare per person was 50 taka. After getting off the bus, we took any rickshaw we wanted and went home. This was my first experience of going to a book fair.

Greetings my dear friends @shabiha-jahan!
It was really nice to read about your book fair experience. You have beautifully described your first book fair experience. Those moments will be remembered forever, right? The way you described each moment, took us right to that moment. The different stalls of the book fair, the variety of books, the authors’ books, eating fusca, drinking tea and finally returning home by metro and bus, the whole experience is really vivid.
Hope, you and your friends will enjoy many more beautiful moments in the future and share many more experiences with us. May Allah bless you and your family.😊📚
