I hope that, by the grace of the Creator, everyone is well and healthy. Alhamdulillah, thanks to Allah’s mercy and your prayers, I am also in good health. Today, I have come to share with you some food that I have cooked.Today I cooked chicken and khichuri. We Bengalis really love to eat khichuri. There was no plan to cook khichuri and meat. Last night, my mother said she was craving khichuri and meat. So, I got busy with the cooking.

I really love to cook, and everyone in my family enjoys my cooking very much. So, the responsibility of cooking always falls on me. I gathered all the ingredients for cooking. My mother said to cook on the earthen stove today. So, I went to the roof. Lighting the fire in the earthen stove felt like the end of my life.

I washed the chicken pieces very well. Then I mixed them thoroughly with salt, turmeric, and chili powder. After that, I fried them well in oil. While the chicken was frying on the stove, I got busy gathering the ingredients for cooking khichuri.

My mother said we would have thin khichuri today. So, I washed all the rice and lentils together and cleaned them nicely. Then, using all the necessary spices, I mixed the rice and lentils beautifully for the khichuri. After that, I checked how much the chicken had been cooked. The chicken still needed some more time to cook. Then I chopped some vegetables to add to the khichuri.

After a while, my chicken was cooked. Then I put the khichuri on the stove. I spent some time browsing on my mobile and scrolling through Facebook. After a while, I noticed that the khichuri had started to boil. At that point, I added the chopped vegetables that I had prepared earlier.After some time, I sat and chatted with my parents. We discussed several topics. I tend to be a bit lazy about cooking at night. Since my mother was craving food, I cooked in the evening.

I have loved chicken since my childhood. Today, I kept a little more gravy in the chicken because it would be eaten with khichuri. That was the menu for our dinner tonight.

Whenever my parents make a request, I can never refuse them. I always try my best to keep my parents’ wishes because they have worked so hard to raise me from childhood to adulthood. They have nurtured me. Please pray for my family and me. That's all for today. Allah hafeez.
