Meetups are happening all over Steemit, including from our country. Unfortunately, due to my distance, I've been unable to attend them physically, jut limiting my participation to virtual joining. Friday is be a memorable day for Steemit Bangladesh users. Thanks to the efforts of our leadership team members, a successful meetup was held at a beautiful location in Dhaka, with around 20 users in attendance.

Joining Dhaka meetup virtually through whatsapp.

Within the past two weeks, three meetups have been completed in our region. With the Dhaka event being the largest as it was held in the capital city and attracted many users from nearby areas. I regret not being able to attend the event but I tried my best to assist our team members in various ways who were the organizers . After lunch, I joined the Dhaka event virtually. Seeing everyone together was truly heartwarming and we successfully achieved the primary goal of social media and genuine interaction.

After connecting with everyone virtually, I spent some time chatting with them on WhatsApp. In the afternoon I had another major program to attend so I had lunch and left home and on the way I attend the Dhaka event virtually.

Mawlid is an annual festival commemorating the birthday of Muhammad on the traditional date of 12 Rabi' al-Awwal, the third month of the Islamic calendar. A day central to the Sufi tradition of Sunni Islam, the Mawlid is also celebrated by Shia Muslims. Wikipedia

This month is Rabi-ul-Awwal on the Arabic calendar, the month in which our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was born. To celebrate this occasion the Gaussia Committee of Sitakunda district organized a grand welcome rally. Thousands of Muslims participated in this procession and I attended with muslim brother's in my area. The entire program lasted until 5 pm.

Visiting Bhatiari hill lake area with friends./ Bhatiary Lake

Since it was a holiday, after the program I visited the Bhatiari Lake side with two of my friends. This area is a hilly region and there are several lakes around the roads that wind through the hills. In the evenings tourists come here to enjoy the peaceful environment.

The most beautiful view of the day is the sunset.

I sat by the lake and chatted. The environment was quite peaceful due to the hilly terrain and the hill roads were completely empty as there was no heavy traffic. It's an amazing place to enjoy the sunset. The moment I sat by the lake and silently enjoyed the sunset filled me with joy.

The total bill for six breads and three cups of tea was 210 Taka/12 STEEM

Shortly after sunset, we left the area and entered a restaurant to satisfy our hunger. We ordered Nan bread and tea. The best part was that the nan breads were prepared immediately and served on our plates while they were still hot which tasted delicious with tea.

One of my friends paid the food bill. After that I returned home and completed my remaining prayers. After dinner, I joined the newcomer class on our community's Discord server.

Participating in meetups virtually and videoconferencing throughout the day added a different dimension to my day. However, like every week, two of our community leadership members gave new users some guidelines at the beginning. After I joined, I discussed the current updates on the Steemitblog and tried to encourage all users to participate in the teaching tasks of the upcoming engagement challenge. The class lasted till around 12 and then I got ready for bed.

Engaging in various activities throughout the day, especially the memorable moments of meeting community members for the first time through video calls, will remain lasted in my memory. Steemit the social media platform has provided me with the opportunity to connect with creative peoples from my locality and region. I'm grateful to this platform.
