"Assalamu Alaikum" hope you all are well. By the grace of God I am also very well. Welcome to my "new" post. Today I am going to share, Mirpur 1 Bird Market is one of the biggest bird market in Bangladesh. This market is known not only in Dhaka but all over Bangladesh. It was a very happy and special moment for me to visit Mirpur 1 bird market from Narayanganj for the first time. I will share with you some details about Mirpur 1 bird market. So let's begin---

The day was 14/02/2025, Friday, as the office was closed on Friday, I woke up early and freshened up. The reason for waking up early was that the night before, I had planned to go to Mirpur 1 Bird Market with one of my grandfathers. Then at 6 am, I left home and boarded an auto to go to the Signboard bus stand.

After reaching the signboard bus stand, we boarded a bus to go to Mirpur 1 bus stand. After staying in the bus for a while, our bus was completely filled with people and they let us go to Mirpur 1.

The feeling of going to Mirpur 1 bird market from Narayanganj signboard bus stand was a special experience for me. I also left for Mirpur from Narayanganj signboard in the morning to buy birds from my grandfather at Mirpur 1 bird market. But there was a lot of traffic on the road, but the fact that there was a lot of traffic on the road filled my heart with joy. This was the first time I was going to such a big bird market to buy birds and visit the entire market.

Despite the heavy traffic on the road, we finally reached Mirpur 1 bus stand at 9:30 am and got off the bus. Then we went to a Dutch Bangla Bank ATM booth at the bus stand to withdraw some money from the Dutch Bangla ATM booth. We went to the Dutch Bangla Bank ATM booth and withdrew about 12,000 taka from there.

After withdrawing money from the ATM booth, I took a rickshaw from the station and went straight to the mirpur 1 bird market.

Finally, we reached the bird market. This bird market was huge. Mirpur No. 1 Bird Market is one of the largest bird markets in Bangladesh. This market is known not only in Dhaka but all over the country. Here you can see different types of birds, such as - tia, myna, cockatoo, lovebird, finches, sparrows, pigeons and many other species of birds.

This market usually sits on Fridays. However, some shopkeepers keep their shops open on other days of the week. Along with birds, bird food, cages and other equipment are also available here. Mirpur No. 1 Bird Market is not only famous for buying and selling birds, it is also a meeting place for bird lovers. By coming here, you can see different species of birds, learn about them and talk to other bird lovers.

I was fascinated by the variety of colors and sizes of birds. Parrots, mynahs, cockatoos, lovebirds, finches, sparrows, pigeons - there were so many types of birds. Then we walked around the entire bird market and took pictures of several birds. The sound of birds chirping filled the air. At first, I was a little scared. So many birds together, who knows what could happen! But the shopkeepers were very friendly. When I asked the shopkeepers, they told me about the characteristics of different birds. Which birds can talk, which birds can sing, which birds have the most beautiful colors - they gave me all this information and much more.

During my visit to Mirpur No. 1 Bird Market, I had the opportunity to see many types of birds and animals. But when I saw a hamster for the first time, it was a different feeling. This small, soft, curious-eyed creature touched my heart. Next to the small bird cage was a small hamster cage. I was amazed to see them. They were so cute to watch moving, playing and eating.

With the shopkeeper's permission, I took a hamster in my hand. I felt its soft, smooth fur and small claws touch my palm. The hamster felt safe in my palm and curiously climbed on my fingers. The movement of its small, strong legs made my heart even happier. After spending some time with this little creature, my heart became very happy. The sweet behavior of this little creature and the experience of spending time with it were truly a joy.

My grandfather and I came to Mirpur Bird Market No. 1, mainly to buy baby mynah birds. My grandfather and I had wanted to buy a baby mynah bird for a long time. When we came to the bird market, we saw different types of birds. Tias, mynahs, cockatoos, lovebirds, finches, sparrows, pigeons and many more. But the sad thing is that even after going around the whole market, we could not find a baby mynah bird. I felt a little bad. I thought, maybe I will not buy any more birds today.

Suddenly my eyes fell on a cage, where I saw three pairs of lovebirds. The birds were very beautiful to look at. Their colors were also quite bright. My grandfather and I loved birds very much. I thought that my grandfather and grandson would buy two pairs of lovebirds together. When that thought was over, we talked to the shopkeeper. He told us about the characteristics of the birds. We learned that lovebirds are very calm and they easily make friends with people. But one more thing, if these love birds are raised in our house for two months, they will lay eggs and chicks. And the shopkeeper told us everything about raising these love birds.

Then we decided that even if we don’t get baby mynahs, we will take the love birds. After bargaining with the shopkeeper, we bought two pairs of love birds for 11,000 taka. We were very happy with the purchase of the birds. As beautiful as they look, their temperament is also very good. I hope that the birds will soon adapt to our house and bring us joy.

After buying 2 pairs of lovebirds, we went to the market to buy bird food. I saw many types of food and bird food items in the market. I was filled with joy when I entered the store and saw different types of bird food in jars and packets. I saw different types of bird food in the store, such as granular food, seed mix, fruits, and special vitamin-rich food. Then I talked to the shopkeeper and found out which type of food is best for lovebirds. As per their advice, I bought 2 kg of seed mix and lovebird food for 200 taka per kg. I also bought half a kg of sunflower seeds for 110 taka.

We were very happy after buying the birds and their food from Mirpur Bird Market No. 1 and returned home around 3 pm. Back home, I kept the lovebirds in my cage. The birds have now become members of our family. Mirpur Bird Market No. 1 is a wonderful place. Bird lovers can come to this market and find their favorite birds. Also, I think this market is a great place to learn about different species of birds. I am saying goodbye from here today, see you in the new post.
