SEC-S15W6: "Giving gifts to loved ones"

Indeed we at times have that favorite person whom we adore so much and share our time, feelings, gifts, love and more with. Today I am also here to participate in this contest... Giving Gifts To Our Love Ones. I still remain Esangobong John @kemsyluv.

When we hear the word friends, what comes into our minds is someone we have mutual affection with, someone that really understand us and we can trust, share feelings, our joy and sorrowful moments with, share gifts and more. But the question is, in this wicked and selfish world, is it possible to find a person with the above mentioned qualities? Can we really confide in our so-called friends without being scared of the fact that the secret shared can be licked outside? Today am going to introduce to you guys my favorite person.

I must say that I am really blessed with few good friends, such as Nyeneime victor Sunday that I discussed in my previous post "My School Life"link, but today I want to discuss about my other friend who has stuck with me after I parted ways with Nyeneime in 2011.

So this is a formal introduce of my world favorite person Ese Oriasotie Menshack. Ese, is a friend turned sister, a friend with the heart of gold, a selfless woman that put the needs of others before hers .

It seems just like yesterday when she first approach me and asked me if the little boy that she always sees with me is my son and when I said yes, she exclaimed "wow I didn't know you have such a big boy, I love the way you always dress him up and carry him anywhere you go to and I love the fact that you are proud of your child, you don't hide him from people just like the way other young girls does, please can we be friends? Please allow your son to be coming to my house and play with my children".

I didn't reciprocate because of inferiority complex, after two weeks she again approached me and insisted that I and my son should visit her house and that was her we became friends and for over 13 years we still remain friends. Ese is married to Oriasotie Menshack and is blessed with four lovely kids.
She has really been there for I and my son through our joyful and sorrowful moments. I have been to her place in Warri, Delta State and her husband place Uromi Edo State and has also been to my place Edemeya, Ikot Abasi, Akwa Ibom State, when I lost my father to the cold hands of death. I am always grateful to God for blessing me with such a pure and kind soul Ese Oriasotie Menshack.

The act of giving is not measured by how much you have but your motive and the ability to give even in your smallest means. That is given out to someone even when you have just little.
Though I didn't really take a picture of what I gifted my friend recently because I didn't know I will be writing a post about it. So I don't have a picture taken of the gift I gave my friend but am going to get a picture from the internet to describe the kind of gift I gave my love one Ese Oriasotie Menshack.

On Sunday 18th of February 2024 when I wanted to visit her in Eket, I thought hard on what to gift my friend (at times it is very difficult to choose what kind of gift to give a friend who has almost everything) so then I remember that she likes Afang Soup, so I cooked the special delicacy known as Afang Soup to my friend.

Though she was not in a good mood before I got there but she was so happy immediately she saw me and was even more happier when she saw the soup because Afang Soup is her favorite soup. She ate the soup with fufu while she gave me rice she prepared. And when I wanted to come back to uyo, she inturn gift me money. Below is a WhatsApp chats showing our chat of appreciations.

In conclusion when you are blessed with a good friend, cherish it and value the relationship because as the sayings goes "a good friend is better than a bad relatives". Learn to give, not only when you have in abundant.
