Celebrating "Pohela Falgun" in My University.

Hi everyone.
This is @kanijakborbd.

Hope you all are doing really well. Today I will share with you about celebrating " Pohela Falgun".

“Pohela Falgun” is the first day of spring seasons. It was yesterday 14 february. So I thought it would be nice if I could share with you about those festivals. Bangladesh experiences six seasons, including the spring season, which is locally known as “Boshonto”. The spring season in Bangladesh typically occurs from February to April and is characterised by warm weather, pleasant breeze, and blooming flowers.

During this time, the temperature usually ranges from 25 to 30 degrees Celsius, making it a comfortable time for outdoor activities. The skies are generally clear, and the humidity is relatively low, creating a dry and comfortable environment.

The most prominent feature of the spring season in Bangladesh is the blooming of flowers. You can see a variety of flowers, such as marigolds, roses, daisies, and others, in full bloom during this time. Trees like Mango, Jackfruit, and Litchi also bear fruit during the spring season, making it an excellent time for fruit lovers.

The spring season is also a time for cultural festivals in Bangladesh. The biggest celebration during this time is the Bengali New Year, which is celebrated in mid-April. People participate in various traditional activities, such as wearing traditional clothes, preparing traditional food, and visiting friends and family.

So, as it is the biggest celebration in Bangladesh, our university also celebrated “Boshonto”. We had a lot of fun. There were a lot of food shops, stores, flower stores and concerts at night. I really enjoyed that moment. All the people wear nice saree that is very very colourful. It was just like a natural fairy scene. All the girls looked so pretty on that day. See!

Look how beautiful they look. Especially, the colorful saree that they wear. It is just magnificant. My day was so nice and enjoyable. I was so happy with my friend and teacher to celebrate “Boshonto”.

Basanta Utsav is also known as Holi, and it is celebrated with colours, music, and dance. People wear colourful clothes and smear coloured powder on each other as a sign of joy and happiness.
