SEC-S15W3: My Favorite Book

Reading, for some reason has become a part of my life. Which is why I included it as part of my hobby obviously one of the best things I love to do. During my primary school days, I could remember the pack of novels I had in my room that I read during most of my leisure period. Apart from reading novels, reading other books has helped me a lot in all spheres of life.

Fortunately, reading has become part of human daily life, because almost everything we see, consists of words, which we need to read before we can understand the message/information passed. Books generally are incredible things, they offer us a window into other worlds, teach us new things and spark our imaginations.

Each and everyone of us must have read books and probably have one that we cannot forget easily. In this post, I shall be telling you about this book which I have come across and why it is my favorite.

My favourite book is that book that hold the overall best selling book of all time, with no other name than the The Holy Bible. This great book has been in existence for over 3,000 years now. The author of this book is God, the creator and f Heaven and Earth. Different books of the Bible were written by different people who had the opportunity to have God communicate through them to express his thoughts to his people.

This book contains a wealth of content which it provides to anyone who reads it. The book is divided into two main sections: The Old Testament and The New Testament. The content of the old testament are; the origin of human existence, general history, history of the Jewish people and their relationship with God, principles and laws, truths about life, prophecies concerning life, poetry, wisdom and more.

The content of the new testament are: story of Jesus and his followers, teachings on life of faith, rules, principles, hope and prophecies for the future which are currently playing. This Book has the answer to all life's biggest question. It has helped a lot of people to face different circumstances in life, know why they exist, how they came and how to please their creator.

One of the main ways that the Bible helps people through its content is by providing a sense of purpose and meaning in life. The Bible teaches us that life is not just about making a name, material things buy living a life that is pleasing to your creator (GOD). This Book, teaches that there's hope for the future even when you think all hope is gone.

The Bible teaches us forgiveness and acceptance. It has provided and still provides comfort and strength for those going through difficult times. The Bible encourages people to love and help one another. There are many ways that the Bible helps people through it content.

Anywhere and anytime this question is been asked to me, my answer will be 200% yes! The influence the Bible has on me is immense and I can't give account of them all. One of the biggest influence it has one me is the power of forgiveness, through it teaching/contents. It has showed me that forgiveness is not just about saying the three words "I forgive you". It is about truly letting go of anger and resentment, thereby showing compassion and love to that who have hurt us.

Another influence is the making of solid decisions in life. Whenever, I have something to do and I don't know how to go about it or am not sure about it, I always go to the word of God (the Bible) and read, from there, inspiration comes from the holy teacher (Holy Spirit) and so from that place insights begins to flow in. The reason I go to the Bible is because of how the people I read about usually don't make decisions on their own but ask for directions from the Almighty One.

No one is perfect and we all know that, so am I. The Bible has not made me perfect buy has made to understand the essence of existence and to derive joy in pleasing God.

If I could ever get the slightest opportunity to write a book, it would be self-help book, crafted and designed to help people navigate through the difficulties of modern life. I would hope that it would benefit people of all backgrounds, ages but especially to those who ate feeling overwhelmed, isolated or lost. I would also want this book to be easily accessible and easy to understand, while also giving out practical advice for how to develop one's life.

In conclusion, I think that the influence of books can have a profound impact in our lives, but that of the greatest book - The Bible cannot be overemphasized. The Bible has the power to shape people, help them navigate through life battles by providing wisdom and guidance and to become more loving and compassionate people doing what pleases God. All this can be gotten through the contents of the Bible. So I recommend this book to everyone(no age or background restriction).
