Hello Steemians how are you today? I want to assume that you are fine as I am. Today I am participating in this contest titled "Write about your rainy day". I appreciate @mostofajaman and the Steem For Bangladesh for giving me this opportunity. Here is my presentation.

Rain is defined as water falling in drops condensed from vapour in the atmosphere. Scientifically rain is called precipitation which means any kind of water that falls from clouds in the sky, like rain, hail, sleet and snow.

🔥 Share your story of a rainy day.
Rainy days are periods between May and August. When I was growing up as a child, I loved playing football in the rain and if the rain fell in an odd hour I would always take advantage of it and bathe directly in the rain with a sponge and soap. I love bathing in the rain then because of how slippery my body becomes after bathing.

As a young boy growing up, rainy days are my best season because I always take advantage of it and play. I remember a faithful day that I bathed in the rain and a few minutes later the cold weather triggered a fever in me. The sickness became severe as if I was going to die. And since then, my parent stopped me from playing in the rain after I recovered from the sickness.

🔥 How does rain make you feel and why?

Rain in general makes me feel very happy especially when it falls at night. The reasons it makes me feel happy are simply:

1. I am a farmer and any time rain falls, it draws my attention to the well-being of my farm and the kind of harvest I am expecting.
2. It mostly makes the weather calm and conducive especially at night while sleeping.
3. It wets the ground and reduces the level of dust.
4. It washes the dirt on the roof and trees thereby making the place look clean

🔥 Have you ever been wet in the rain and present a rainy day moment?

Today Sunday 16th June 2024 I went to the church for the normal Sunday worship. The weather was calm but we never envisaged that rain would fall. Much later, it started drizzling and it turned out to be a heavy downpour.

At the end of our activities in the church, we couldn't leave immediately because of the rain but when the rain persisted, we had to enter the rain and come home. I became so wet and under wether.

Two of my meetings for the day were cancelled because the rain did not stop on time. As at the time I am writing this article, the rain has stopped but the weather is very cold and I am on my bed.

Rain is very important to human life and nature in the following areas:

1. plants generally need water to survive and to bear fruits. Rain here is the most effective and effortless means of watering these plants across the world because it comes naturally.
2. Rain serves as a source for supplying water for drinking, agriculture, and industrial purposes.
3. When rain falls, it flows down to recharge rivers, lakes and other water bodies which naturally drain during the dry season
4. I learned from a study that rain is high in alkaline and helps in keeping the skin and hair nice and clean
5. I also learned that it helps clean the air by removing particles.
