Hello Friends! How are you all?

I hope everyone is well with God's mercy and love. Alhamdulillah, I am fine with all your prayers and love. I am joining you from the Sylhet district of Bangladesh. Every area has its own history and culture. Chunga Pitha is a historical food of our area.
Welcome to my Content

Today I have presented before you the method of making historical Chunga Pitha.

Ingredients needed to make Chunga Pitha.

  1. Young bamboo.
  2. Biron Rice (Grilled Rice).
  3. Raw and dried leaves of the banana plant.
  4. Chicken or beef roast.
  5. fresh water.
  6. Knife or Bill-hook.
  7. Gamla.
In the first stage,

Go to the bamboo garden and cut the young bamboos you like and the bamboos that have more space between them. Each strip should be cut open on one side and closed on the other. Then they should all be cleaned with water.

In the second stage,

The parts of the bowl should be inserted little by little of the raw leaves of the banana plant into the empty parts. Care should be taken while inserting so that the space inside is empty.

In the third stage,

Rice with flour should be soaked in water for about an hour. Then they should be removed from the water and lightly dried.

The fourth stage,

Rice should be added little by little in the hollow parts of the small bowls in which the banana leaves were inserted. While adding the rice, make sure to leave four inches of space at the top.

The fifth stage,

Water should be poured into the parts of the pot where the rice is placed.

Sixth stage,

These openings should be closed after the completion of the water injection. Dry leaves of the banana plant can be used in this case.

The seventh stage,

In making a place for burning the young pieces of ash, care should be taken to ensure that the closed sides are slightly elevated.

The eighth stage,

The closed sides should be burned first. Then all should be lightly burned.

The ninth stage,

When the burning is over, leave them for a while to cool down and cut the parts of the bowl with a knife. Carefully separate the banana leaf-wrapped rice from the bowl and keep it in a bowl.

Tenth stage,

Remove the banana leaf before serving with a meat roast or chicken roast.
