LA PRIMERA GUITARRA ELÉCTRICA.

LA CREACIÓN DE LA GUITARRA ELÉCTRICA.

Siempre hemos admirado el efecto hipnótico al que te puede hacer llevar y sentir la emoción o euforia más grande o hasta llorar con sus notas, tonos y riffs más sorprendentes cuando vienen de una guitarra eléctrica. El sonido, la frecuencia infinita más misteriosa jamás creada y que se sigue descubriendo continuamente. En el siguiente post haremos un reseña de la creación de tan sorprendente instrumento.

De llamarlo así, tenemos la guitarra Neandertal la que inició todo la RICKENBACKER A - 22 fabricada en 1931. Ésta guitarra era su cuerpo completo de metal y aluminio en una sola pieza y conocida como el sartén y no difícil de imaginar el porqué.

Su creación se debe a la necesidad de las Big Band opacaban y silenciaban a la guitarra clásica la cual éste nuevo instrumento se desarrolla con partes de metal y aluminio y un magneto o pastilla para generar su amplificación por medio de un pequeño amplificador. Era para usar de modo sentado.

Pero no tardó mucho en fracasar ya que las ventas de dicho instrumento se desplomaron debido al estruendo, distorsión de los tonos y su rápida desafinación, lo que representaba una verdadera pesadilla para los músicos.

Entre 1932 y 1935 Rickenbacker habría lanzado la Electro Spanish Model que no era más que una especie de guitarra clásica de cuerpo semi hollow con una pastilla electromagnética y dos potenciómetros, uno de tono y otro de volúmen pero con demasiados adornos .
Empezó a tener buena aceptación entre los músicos de Jazz en la ciudad de Chicago.
Desde entonces se dió aquella gran competencia de cual sería la más apropiada y el modelo final más aceptado. Ahora se adelantaría la empresa Gibson a principios de 1941 creó un prototipo que llamó EL TRONCO una guitarra eléctrica muy pesada y maciza pero nunca se llegaría a comercializar.

Para 1947 se crea la BIGSBY TRAVIS inventor de la palanca de vibrato BIGSBY y Travis trabajaban en California muy cerca de los talleres de Fender.

Muy perecido era el clavijero al de las guitarras Fender pero no se sabe quien copió a quien, debido que Leo Fender no era muy bueno guardando secretos y muchos desarrolladores de Gibson, Bigsby y Travis visitaban mucho los talleres de Fender.

En 1948 y siendo la primera y única guitarra realmente que salió al mercado para comercializarse de manera masiva rompiendo todos los esquemas de diseño, sonido y precio que fuese la famosa Guitarra Eléctrica BROADCASTER de FENDER pero por problemas de Licencia debido a su mismo nombre al de las baterías broadcaster de la empresa Gretsch quien se dedicaba a fabricar tambores y luego de la muerte de su dueño, sería su hijo quien le diera otro giro para crear las famosas guitarras semi hollow gretsch.

Dos años más tarde Leo Fender a su guitarra eléctrica la bautiza con su nombre final conocido como hasta hoy
FENDER TELECASTER.
Muy atractiva, sencilla y sin adornos innecesarios sería la primera guitarra eléctrica de cuerpo sólido. Entre sus novedades de diseño fue el colocar sus Clavijas en el mástil de manera lineal para facilitar la rápida afinación para los músicos. Leo Fender le había ganado la competencia a todos sus antecesores.

Rápidamente lograría ganarse el mercado por su maravilloso sonido lo que la hacía lo más versátil para la ejecución de cualquier género musical su precio tan barata y accesible al público. Para esa época le decían a Leo Fender " El Henry Ford de la Guitarra Eléctrica. "

En 1951 volvería a revolucionar el mundo de la música creando el Bajo Fender Precision, el cual se tocaría parado al igual que una guitarra eléctrica. Aunque ya habían bajos que se podían tocar parados éste de Fender fue el primero en comercializarse.
Lo innovador del bajo Fender sería que tenía trastes tal cual a la guitarra eléctrica lo que facilitaría golpear notas exactas, de allí el origen de su actual nombre Fender Precision.

El precision era más barato y más fácil de aprender que su antecesor el Contrabajo. Y no sólo eso sino que además más práctico de transportar y acompañaría a la guitarra eléctrica a aquellos maravillosos viajes musicales conectados a los primeros amplificadores.

De allí empezaría Fender el desarrollo de todas aquellas GUITARRAS Y SUS variaciones hasta nuestros días como la STRATOCASTER, JAZZMASTER, JAGUAR, VINTERA, LEAD, MUSTANG y muchos otros modelos y variantes distribuyendo sus fábricas para hacerse más flexible en precios como Japón y México que tienen licencias y fábricas.
Definitivamente la más perfecta evolución conservando su ADN particular.

Actualmente existen cientos de marcas de guitarras eléctricas, modelos, diseños y tecnología adaptadas para cada género musical, desde la más costosa y difícil de encontrar hasta las customizadas o de colección que pertenecieron a los mayores exponentes de la música Rock.

By 1947 the BIGSBY TRAVIS was created, inventor of the BIGSBY vibrato lever and Travis worked in California very close to the Fender workshops.

Very perishable was the headstock for Fender guitars but it is not known who copied whom, because Leo Fender was not very good at keeping secrets and many developers from Gibson, Bigsby and Travis visited Fender workshops a lot.

In 1948 and being the first and only guitar that really went on the market to be commercialized in a massive way, breaking all the design, sound and price schemes that were the famous FENDER BROADCASTER Electric Guitar but due to Licensing problems due to its same name as that of FENDER. the broadcaster drums of the company Gretsch, who later this company that was dedicated to making drums after the death of its owner would be his son who gave it another turn to create the famous gretsch semi hollow guitars.

Two years later Leo Fender baptizes his electric guitar with the final name of him known as until today
FENDER TELECASTER.
Very attractive, simple and without unnecessary frills it would be the first solid body electric guitar. Among its design novelties was the placement of its Pegs on the neck in a linear fashion to facilitate rapid tuning for musicians. Leo Fender had beaten all his predecessors in competition.
It would quickly win the market for its wonderful sound, which made it the most versatile for the execution of any musical genre, its price so cheap and accessible to the public. At that time Leo Fender was called "The Henry Ford of the Electric Guitar."

In 1951 he would once again revolutionize the world of music by creating the Fender Precision Bass which would be played standing up like an electric guitar. Although there were already basses that could be played standing up, this one from Fender was the first to be commercialized.

The innovation of the Fender bass would be that it had frets just like the electric guitar, which would make it easier to hit exact notes, hence the origin of its current name Fender Precision.

The precision was cheaper and easier to learn than its predecessor the Double Bass. And not only that, but also more practical to transport and would accompany the electric guitar on those wonderful musical journeys connected to the first amplifiers.

From there Fender would begin the development of all those GUITARS AND THEIR variations to this day such as STRATOCASTER, JAZZMASTER, JAGUAR, VINTERA, LEAD, MUSTANG and many other models and variants, distributing their factories to become more flexible in prices such as Japan and Mexico that have licenses and factories.
Definitely the most perfect evolution preserving his particular DNA.

Currently there are hundreds of brands of electric guitars, models, designs and technology adapted for each musical genre, from the most expensive and difficult to find to the customized or collectibles that belonged to the greatest exponents of Rock music.
