KINDNESS BEATS IT ALL

The other day I read something from Daddy J.O, it's something that I've been wanting to write on for a long time but he beat me to it😔

It was about being kind to people and always trying to remember their names no matter what.
Before I go on, I'd love to tell an experience I had. I don't know why but when people meet me for the first time they think I'm unapproachable meanwhile I'm an undercover sweetheart. So, this story kind of portrays the point I'm about to make as you read on.

sometime back, I went out with a friend for a very quick side hustle and mehn, the sun was in high spirits that day. We were already exhausted and I was already fantasizing my bed. I can't really recall but we met a group of older men, like in their late 40's or early 50's who came for the same purpose.

Long story short, he called one of us for something and she ignored him, he tried the next person and got the same response till he looked in my direction and I smiled.

Not like I knew why I was smiling but I smiled because he kept looking at my direction and it was getting awkward. He got my contact and weeks later I got a call from a strange number, well you can guess who, it was the man. Turns out he worked in a highly reputable company (name hidden) and only came into my state for something very urgent. We got talking and he told me how terrible he felt that day after reaching out to my friend and the other girl and was ignored, but the only thing that made him feel human was my smile. No kidding!

He asked for my details and sent in cash that only a destiny helper would have sent at that moment 😂😂😂😂 and since then he only calls when he can make calls and promised I'd meet his daughter when she's in the country.
That aside, let's talk about looks. From the way he was dressed that day it was so easy to write him off, I mean I know who I saw. Even if he would tell you, I am this or that, you'd prolly laugh off and think he's drunk but I didn't look out for capabilities or what I could be offered or not, I saw a human standing close to me and that's why I smiled at him.
The smile must have meant so much to him because every single time he calls he mentions it.

See, the thing about most of us is that we treat people based on the physical attributes we see. In fact, you kindness is valued based, you cannot be nice to someone who doesn't have money or cannot offer you anything in return and that's really messed up.

The truth you ignore is that being kind has nothing to do with career or position, it should be a default setting for you. You should naturally be nice to people whether you know them or not, whether they look valuable or not and irrespective of tribe or skin color.

I know you have heard it over and over about how the rejected stone became the chief corner stone (paraphrased) or how the people you least expect turn out to be the ones you look up to in the future.
Even animals do not select association being lower beings but what about us? Every small opportunity you get, it's to prove that you're better than other people.

After the experience I had with the man, the lesson I learned stays with me for life.
See people are not stupid or dumb, they know when you treat the right and your motive behind it. When I have friends ask me "even if I wasn't here or this, would you still be there?" my response remains the same. Not because they are richer than me, more intelligent or smarter than me, as a matter of fact they are people I have met that it tooks months before I finally knew how valuable they were.

And today, I am here to tell you that tables turn oo, they turn so fast that you don't see it coming. Treat people the exact way you'd want to be treated, and nothing less.

Treat people with kindness not because of what you can get from them or because of their social status. But because your default should be "being kind to all and not to s selected few."
If this is my only write up you will implement this year, then I am good.

I hate seeing when the gate man is treated as trash but you're all over the manager like a love struck puppy. Why? Because the former has nothing to give you.

I'll also remind you that people will always remember how you make them feel. It's like meeting someone for the first time, if you're received with a warm smile, you can barely forget him or her. The same is likened to an angry face or whatever, you'll always remember that.

Kindness beats it all, right now there someone out there who cannot forget you because of how you made them feel or you think these things are cooked up lies?

I have a reason of making everyone who meets me feel I'm not so difficult as they think I am, it's because they'll always remember me that way.

How do you want people to remember you? Think of that and work on your attitude.
And for the hack I use to remember names, i'll share it in my next post. For now, be kind to every single person you meet.
