Ignorance or pure hunger?

There is this saying that in all we seek, we should seek wisdom. While wisdom is profitable, it is not something many crave for.

While some, on the surface wished they are knowledgeable or blessed with some degree of wisdom, many of them do nothing whatsoever to help their situations.

Wisdom is not gender or tribe peculiar, it also has nothing to do with age.

We help ourselves by constantly updating our brain and improving what we feed it. This helps it to grow and allows it to form knowledge that can be tagged wisdom.

Like in the ancient traditional era, many natives were unaware of the treasure in gold.

Many of them used it to break other things like a common stones. Some used it as chairs they sat on and threw it anywhere they like.

They had no knowledge about how a life changing the gold was. Something that could change the future of their unborn children and even cause tremendous development in their villages.

It was a pure state of ignorance and whether they can be excused for that or condemned is undecided.

A similar scenario is a Nigeria that caught a Blue Marlin Fish recently. The fish is said to worth $2.6 million being one of the fastest fish in the ocean.

Funny enough, the fisherman was elated by his biggest victory on the sea and was quick to take pictures to show the world about his latest and biggest catch.

Little did he know he was showing the world his ignorance and not victory.

The fish, if properly channeled could fetch him enough money capable of making him one of the successful fishermen in the region. It could also usher him into a world of opportunity with people interested in knowing where he caught the fish.

He could even be on the spotlight with interviews ready for him to know how a single fish turn him into a millionaire.

But such is not the case here. Eating it was the first thing on the list and the fish was devoured by many.

This was not the first time this happened. Some whales were earlier pictured to be captured in Nigeria but were instantly cut into pieces by the people.

It is high time we check ourselves and pause. Mouth is not the only place fish or any sea food should go immediately. One might be eating his/her future in the process.

I wouldn't know what the guy must be feeling now after hearing the worth of the fish. But it is a lesson for him and others.

Try read and update yourself. When you see something rare, research and make some findings. It will go a long way.

Thanks.
