in the games have taken a whole different shape as we just concluded the semi-final phase of the Uniben 5 Aside competition.

In the story so far we have seen the top faculties being eliminated from the competition while others rise from their ruins to hold a stake and history has been made along the way.

the semifinal stages saw Engineering lock horn with social science while life science took on last year finalist basic medical science.
the event took a very bad turn in the game where Engineering played Social science, due to unforeseen circumstances we saw the like of Marvelous would most people will agree that is currently the best player in Engineering miss out due to a football trial at another state while the engineering goolie by name Obie got injured just a few minutes into the game
engineering was short of 2 players and they had to watch a player fill in for the injured player
at half time it was 0-0 social science pulled one in after a mistake from the goalkeeper who had fit in perfectly in the goal post until that big mistake, a few minutes later social science was 2 to the good when the keeper made a very poor clearance and it almost cost them the goal
with few minutes left on the clock, engineering pulled one back through their highest goal scorer named success, almost instantly after the restart of play they got another one in but it was a controversial one as social science fans trooped en-mass into the field of play and they refused to leave and play couldn't continue
the game was taken to the tables of the local organizing community who rescheduled the game to be played again
this time engineering left nothing for controversy when they dealt social science a 2-0 blow even after going one man down due to a red card after the first half.
the other semifinal match saw basic medical science having a smooth sail over life science
the final game will see the Faculty of Engineering take on the Faculty of Basic medical science
a repeat of last time finalist you can say but will Engineering emerge victoriously? that is a question we will wait to find out on Wednesday 3rd of march

this will be the first time in history where a Faculty will appear at the final for both the male and female category
